SOURCE: My airbag indicator light stays

You need to fix this soon. First, I would try for free help, as I noticed your Milan is a 2008 model and it may be under Warranty (You get 3 or 4 Years) depending on mileage.

The Airbag Indicator light can mean several things. The Impact sensors behind the Bumpers can have a bad connection, the Chemical charge in the Airbag can be bad, or there is a bad connection somewhere inbetween.

Once its diagnosed, some parts like the Impact sensors can be sprayed with WD-40 and they will work again. Other parts like the firing mechanism for the Airbag is best left to experienced people.

Since anything is possible the Airbag may not work when you need it. Again, this may be a free repair if you take it to a Dealer.

SOURCE: Just bought a 2008 Mercury

The owner's manual has some information on this regarding
key programing and such. Did you buy a new key bob? Call
your dealer's service dept. some will tell you how or do it for
free especially if you buy the key bob from them.

2008 Mercury Milan. I just bought it used, anyway it is immobilized.

Question edited for clarity.

Best advice from our Expert Jeff who is a full time auto electronics technician.

Jeff Armer Oct 06, 2023 cheapest easiest way possible please preferably free??? It's not that simple, you won't be able to do anything. And how do you know it's the anti-theft (immobilizer)? Do you own a professional grade or factory scan tool to read DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes in all the modules on the vehicle?
Plus, won't start how? Turn the key to start an nothing happens? Do you have one or two keys ? Try them both. At best you need to have keys programmed .Mobile locksmith or dealer. No way around it.

If you are sure it is the key and immobilizer

Or if you are guessing. There could be so many things stopping it running.

I have a mercury 2008 milan and my rear passenger brake just locked up, what can i do to fix problem

Pull the wheel off and inspect the brake, it could have a defective caliper piston, the other issue can be a defective Antilock brake system hydraulic control valve.

2008 mercury Milan premier-po356-missing # 6 cylinder no voltage to spark plug coil what controls voltage to coil

Unless yours is different from most, there is an ignition module which can fail in several ways, and is a common failed item. Failed wiring to coil also possible.
