Water puddling on the driver side (ONLY) of Endeavors is evidence of the drain tube foam seal failing. This is very common on Endeavors, and will be more evident on humid days, rainy days, especially with extended driving.
The drain tube for the AC system that extends through the firewall has a small foam ring that seals moisture from running back into the car after it goes out the tube (think of pouring water out of a glass, how some always runs down the side).
High humidity days will cause more condensate than normal and amplify your symptom. Rain will also make it worse, as road water will spit up to the drain hole, as well as normally enter the box through your fresh air vent, creating more water to drain. Driving speed also help force the water past the seal.
The only correct repair is to remove the evaporator box (requires dash removal) and either replace the seal with a new one, or as I prefer replace it with a butyl rubber type substitute that will not degrade like the foam.
You can pack butyl rubber or similar (think windshield packing) around the seal flange on the inside, but it is not an ideal repair.

SOURCE: How do I clear the AC condensate drain on my 2008 CX-9?

Hello... It is possible that the condensation drain tube for the AC could be disconnected. This just happens sometime. This in turn allows condensation to settle in the AC Module and drip into the passenger compartment.

I recommend taking the vehicle to a mechanic for repairs...

Good Luck... Hope this helps...

How do I remove the dashboard of a 2004 Holden berina

the condenser is out side the car in front of the radiator. the unit inside the car is the evaporator and doesn't leak as it is gas filled.
the problem is that moisture is formed on the evaporator fins and this is collected in the bottom of the ac box and drained off out through a hose near the transmission or engine ( puddle of water on the road at lights). The drain hole in the ac box fills up with gunk and the water collected flows out under the carpet. Cleaning the hose and outlet will fix that problem Dash units are held in place by bolts next to the door openings ,across the top at the base of the windscreen and the steering column bolts. To get some idea of how they are fitted go to a wrecker and see how they are done.

2011 jeep cherokee. Water under driver side carpet. Heavy AC usage.

The evaporator coil drain is clogged. It will be a short tube under the car, passenger side, right under the firewall, and will have a crimped end. Push a wire up the hose to clear debris, and avoid parking the vehicle under trees (usually the cause for clogged evaporator drains).

My carpet on drivers side GMC Jimmy is wet. Where does the water come from because it has not been raining

Check the drain hose for the ac evaporator is not blocked allowing the condensed water to build up and flow out into the compartment. Inside blocks up from gunk and should be removed for the water to flow outside.

How to fix leakage of AC on passenger side of Toyota Yaris 2008

It sounds like the evaporator drain tube is blocked or came off the duct inside, pull the carpet back and locate the rubber drain hose on the bottom of the evaporator housing, the hose should go through the firewall so water can drain out, the hose may have become disconnected before the firewall or it come off at the evap housing, pull the hose of the evaporator if water comes out make sure the hose goes out through the firewall and is not clogged.

You are exactly correct. There is a drain on the bottom of the evaporator case. Probably need to place the car on ramps or jackstands to get underthere and clean it out. If you don't feel you can do that safely go to a machanic and tell him what you need done. The drain is on the passengers side down by the front floor. Most times it's out side in the engine compartment, but some have a small hose you can get to inside.

A/C drains inside car (05 Sebring) on passenger side. Have used air compressor to blow out hose on firewall. It quit for a few days and now it's draining into the car again. Where is the evaporator? inside...

I had the exact same problem last year on my 04 Sebring. I took it to the dealership and found that the a/c was draining into the car, instead of running to the outside. My mechanic said that chrysler knew of this problem but was not recalling it. (The number of vehicles it happened to wasn't enough to warrant a recall) Anyway, all he had to do was replace a part of the a/c draining unit. I will try to find the service invoice for a more specific solution. But if I were you, I would just contact your local chrysler dealership and ask the service department. Like I said my mechanic knew right away. He has a Sebring as well and replaced the defective part for a "just in case" situation. I pulled up the carpeting and saw how much damage was actually done just because of this defective part. It was horrible. My mechanic suggested parking the car on an incline (with the carpeting pulled up) and the water would pool near the firewall. I did this and kept checking every 10 minutes. I would soak it up, come back and soak up more water. It was amazing how much water was sitting in the carpeting. Obviously, the carpeting has to be dried out or it will mold. Mine was leaking for such a long time that I had to have the carpeting replaced. It was exspensive, but I didn't want further problems with mold. I haven't had any problems since. Good luck! I hope I was a little helpful.

There is a water leak somewhere in my 98 toyota camry that leaks into my passenger side floor. There is no sun roof and no visible leaks from the windows or doors. Any thoughts? A/C leak maybe? water...

I am the original owner of camry xle 1998 with wet floors. In 2000 I had drivers side door seal leaking at welt. Removed old door seal and new weather strip on drivers side installed. The door panel was never wet, but wet at bottom of door where there are drain holes...slowly leaking under carpet.
In 2001 later water again. Coming from overflowing A/C evaporator-drain plugged/ tank full of debris. Removed evaporator, cleaned + drain cleaned.
In 2003, driver door seal against window rotted. Removed door panel and found leak at window belt molding at the mirror joint inside + out. Lots of mold under carpet needed to replace! Made a fuss at dealers for reacurring problem and they replaced the carpet for free.
