I had a car and tried to run belt by taking the power steering pump off and the only way it would work was to disconnect the hoses that are connected to the pump and leave the pump in place so there is no pressure on it.
If that won't work get a junker pump out of an auto wreckers . I ran mine like that for a couple of years.

remove r-front wheel bracket 1 15mm nut 1 bolt note flat washer location under lower bracket not on outside but inside surface. then platic shield 3 10mm self tappers up inside frame rail and 1 underside lower radiator support which is tuff to get at just jam your socket in there. then 2 plastic push fasteners one under headlight in wheelwell area to cover and 1 at the back of cover that goes into k-frame this one is going to break if it does use a short sheet metal screw and washer on assembling. ther are 2 serp belts first draw a picture of routing trust me it looks like you cant forget but it may save problem later. just above ac compressor is tensioner use a 15mm box end and releive tension turn right. belt comes off compressor first. remove and go for alt belt. this one is ruff 15mm bolt bottom of alt. loosen dont remove. underhood from top 1 15mm nut top of alt. loosen only. there is a 13mmbolt adjuster not easy to see pointing from firewall to front bumper loosen and remove belt. do not over tighten this belt when installing you will be doing alt. if you do. before you put cover back start car and recheck belt adustment.
