SOURCE: Roll over valve problems

Hello;
There is an o-ring for a seal on the end of the tube. It is either missing or cut. Replace the o ring and make sure the end is smooth. Should fix your leak.

SOURCE: Is it normal to have

Most sensors and valves have a useful life of around 60 - 80K miles. I would'nt think it was an unusual thing to have one go out at 55K. Mike

1978 Ford F100 5.0l do I need to replace the fuel tank vent valve when I replace a new fuel tank?

Replace a 45 year old valve? Sure, it will have new sealing gaskets. Some states check the valve for emissions test.

My 2006 Nissan max hit a bumb gas hand went to empty now it want start

Look to see if the rollover valve has shut off the fuel supply from the gas tank. The location of that valve should be in your owners manual. You might find a youtube video showing where it is and how to reset it.

What is the rollover valve in the fuel tank in a 2003 pontiac grand am ?

Provided from Eaton Automotive."A Roll-Over Valve is a safety device that hinders fuel leakage in the instance of a vehicle roll over. A patented "peel away" float seal provides excellent "decork" characteristics. The float seal is tolerant to horizontal and vertical movement and has superior liquid discrimination exceeding industry standards of 2ccm. The Eaton Rollover Valve can be incorporated into multiple tank interfaces including: cam lock, hot plate welded "sandwich" mount, grommet mount and internal fuel sender mount."

Hope that helps

My ex husband was in a roll over car accident in his 2006 ford fusion going 70 mph and his air bags didnt deploy. is there a recall on those or does he have a possible case for his injuries?

Front air bags are not designed to deploy in side impact, rear impact or rollover crashes.There are several reasons why your air bag may not have deployed during a crash. The first reason is that perhaps your crash is not the type of accident where air bag deployment would be helpful. For frontal air bags, this includes many, but not all, side impacts, rear impacts and rollovers. This category also includes minor accidents in which the driver and front passenger (if there was one) did not suffer any significant injuries requiring medical treatment. Many people do not realize there are a lot of side air bags that do not deploy during a rollover accident, even when the vehicle rolls onto its side. That is because those side air bags do not include an appropriate crash sensor that can detect rollover crashes.
