I suggest letting someone that already knows where the oil filter is do your oil change, If you cross thread it , it will not sit right and can create a leak. you could lose the whole motor that way.
Why? 2012 should still have warranty. Talk to your dealer! If there is a fuse problem, service needs and probably would like to help out as well as understand what caused the problem.
Most door panels are held to the door with a large 'nail'. You need to get a wide flat blade between the door & panel and gently pry until it pops a nail out. You need to work your way around the bottom and up the sides.
Don't forget to remove the armrest (should be some screw covers, then the screws themselves.
if you look on the drivers side of the engine down behind where the top rad hose is connected, its about 4 inches behind the hose toward the windshield. You should find a black plastic looking cap with a nut shape on the top of it. Bingo... thats the oil filter.
Remove the glove box from the instrument panel. Behind it is an access door. Remove the cover and the old filter, put in the new filter. Replace cover and glove box.
take it to one of these valvoline places its almost as cheap as doing it yourself now a days when you are there ask them to show you the plug that way you can do it your self next time
