I just purchased a 2005 cadilllac srx v8 n i cannot get the third row seat tto function? Help?

Rear Seat Switches
There are three push button switches that are used to operate the power folding seat; front stow switch, rear stow switch, and recline switch. The front stow switch is located in the right rear quarter trim panel just behind the second row seat. The rear stow and recline switches are located in the right rear trim panel just inside the liftgate. Battery positive voltage is supplied at all times to all three switches from the FFS SW Fuse located in the left rear fuse block. The folding seat will operate only in a supervised mode, i.e. press and hold the selected switch button through the entire cycle of operation, or release the switch when the desired seat position is reached. When any folding seat switch is pressed, it sends a 12 volt signal through the switch signal circuit to the RSM. The RSM then commands the appropriate seat motors to move in response to the switch signal.
Rear Seat Module and Power and Ground
The rear seat module controls the position of the third row seat. When commanded it moves the seat from the seated position to the stowed position, or, from the stowed position to the seated position. With the seat in the seated position, the RSM can also move the angle of the seat back forward or rearward.
Battery positive voltage is supplied at all times to the module through the battery positive voltage circuit and the FFSM fuse located in the left rear fuse block. This voltage is used to power up the RSM and also to apply power to the seat motors when commanded. The RSM is grounded through the module ground circuit and G401.
The first place to start would be check the fuse's .Do you know where the left rear fuse block is located ? Fuse Block - Left Rear
In the passenger compartment, near the left side of the rear seat under the carpet
If the fuse is good next thing to do would be ,have check for DTC'S in the rear seat module ! This has nothing to do with check engine light or OBD 2 diagnostic trouble codes an a code reader for said OBD2 codes will not work . Would need a factory scan tool to check these codes.
DTC B1395
Battery positive voltage is supplied at all times to the rear seat load floor switch and the rear seat position switch by the rear seat module (RSM). The RSM monitors these battery positive voltage supply circuits for the protection of internal circuitry of the module.
DTC B1395 Device Voltage Reference Output 1 Circuit
DTC B1420 Device Voltage
Battery positive voltage is supplied at all times to the seat adjuster switch and the memory seat module (MSM) through the same circuit. The MSM uses this battery voltage input to determine if battery positive voltage is applied to the seat adjuster switch.

Hello. I was wondering if you can put a bench seat in my 2008 Chrysler town and country in place of the stow away bucket seats. I really need the extra seat.

We do not sell and install seats.

2015 Chrysler Town & Country 3rd row seat will not come back up after stowed

Same problem. It is the seat back is not latching to the bottom when it is stowed. Take it to the dealer and they should be able to fix it. If you lift up on the very bottom in the well it will come up.
What is happening is that since the seatback is not latched to the seat bottom, when you try to lift it up, the seat back moves toward the back and wedges it from coming up. I have not taken mine in yet, but is should be an easy fix. In the meantime, when you pull 4 make sure the back is latched to the bottom. If you can pull them apart, push them together before folding the seat into the floor.
What is happening is when you pull 2 the seatback is bouncing instead of latching.

FOLDING ELECTRIC OPERATED REAR SEATS ON 2008 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY ARE HUNG UP AND WON'T MOVE IN ANY DIRECTION. OPERATED FROM STOW POSITION TO A POSITION WHERE THE SEAT IS IN POSTION BUT THE BACK OF...

The 'motor whirls' tells me it's not a fuse that has blown, but maybe the gear(s) in the system have or has broken. Maybe try to trace the problem to something connected directly to the motor to see if something has stripped out at either the center of the gear, or at the teeth themselves.

May have to take to dealer for solution if can't take it apart easily.

I see the vehicle is only 2 years old, so they should still have parts for it.

Good luck on this repair.
