I have a vr ute commodore i lost my keys and cant afford to buy a new one does anyone know how to hotwire it. i need it for work.

No, the immobilizer system is there to stop exactly what you are trying to do. The car doesn't know that you are the owner. The workings are complex, a transponder chip in the key to a receiver in the steering column which communicated to the anti-theft / security / alarm module which relays information to the ECM which allows power to the ignition system. You have to fix what is wrong, not find a way around it.

The dealer will make you a key based on the VIN number, or a good mobile locksmith may be able to help with key cutting and programming.

not tv or movie --cant hotwire --go to dealer or an authorized locksmith and have a key cut using vin

you get a key and fob or buy a new steering colunm and body control module

there are free radio codes on line and if you can get the radio make /model and other details you may find the code listed.

hotwiring it wont do as it probably has a steering colum lock too. meaning you wont be able to steer it. call a tow company and tow it home if you cant find the key

Get your ignition lights on for 30mins and car will start, if you use another ignition and key and leave ignition lights on for 30 mins the computer will configure and code new key!!!
