Shorted heater blower motor or heater blower motor resistor. Unplug them one at a times and check for fuse pop.

SOURCE: Blows fuses when parking lights are turned on. Headlights work fine even running lights.

If it only happens when you turn the switchto the parking lights then it is most likely the swich that is the problem. Light swich failure appears to be a common fault with fords

SOURCE: timing belt broke -2000 ford focus zx3

Hello mawbea: My name is Roger I will answer your question. You did not say which engine is in your car. So if you have a 2.0 SOHC engine. If the belt broke you should be Ok. If you have the 2.0 DOHC engine. The likely hood of bending the valves are just about a guarantee. How ever with any engine using a timing belt it is possible to bend a valve.Should you need more help please just ask.
Please rate the quality of your answer as this way we know you received helpful information.Thank You for using Fix Ya, Roger

Fuse #47 blowes on my 2000 focus all bulbs are good

it only means that your elecrical system on your running light was grounded thats why everytime you switch on the running light the fuse blown. The only solution to that is to find out where the line was shorted or grounded. you must start tracing it from your switch going down the elecrical line going to the fuse, relay and lights.
That's it, good luck then.!!!

I turn the the fan on for the heating but the fan

Sounds like a seized up (bad bearings) blower motor. It may not pull enough current to blow the fuse at the lower fan settings but does at the high one. Something could also be jamming the blower fan in its air duct.

Most blower motors can be accessed under the hood. Replace the fuse then put the blower switch on one of the lower settings (don't blow the fuse). Get yourself a good sized screwdriver and hit the back of the blower motor with the screwdriver handle a couple of times.

Sometimes (unless the blower motor has totally seized up) you can get it to spin and this will tell you for sure you need a new blower. Other than that, you can get a spare blower motor, remove the connection wires from the old motor and hook them up to the new one to test before you go to the trouble of replacing the blower.

Hope this helps you out... -Dan
