Bad sensor in one wheel, they are part of the wheel bearing. Could also be a bad abs computer module, either way, not cheap.

SOURCE: 1999 Chevy S10 Blazer 4x4. Replacing rear pad's,& Bleeding Breaks

have one person in the blazer pumping the brake pedal and then hold to the floor, crack the bleeder then tighten, release pedal, repeat till all air is out one side at a time, if this does not work then your ABS unit is bad witch if u follow your lines from your master cylinder u will find a black box with a motor on it, or the master cylinder itself is bad, it also can cause u to have no pedal, replace the master cylinder first, most likely cheaper.

SOURCE: ABS light on after replacing the front and rear brake pads .

u will need to check the wheel speed sensors behind the brake rotors to see if they got damaged or disconnected during the brake job, as long as the ABS light is on the Anti-lock brake system is disabled, regular braking without the need of ABS will feel fine.

SOURCE: 1996 dodge ram 3500, abs brakes are locking up

is it the front or rear locking up? you really have to have this truck loaded (load valve under bed) before the back brakes come on and i think these are the same as my 1999 2500 where the rear is only abs, and not on the front..dumb design i know, but thats how it is...determining if its rear abs only and which axle is locking up will help pin point the problem...i put 100000 miles on my dodge since i got it in 2001 and i put 8 sets of pads on the front and just changed the rear lining and thats only because the rear wheel cylinder was leaking causing the rear brakes to lock up..

Rear brakes not working proper. I have never liked the brakes on my 2500 chevy pickup. I bought the truck second hand. I have since replaced the front pads twice. The front pads were gone in 18,000...

e-brake pedal should go farther- is either out of adjustment or cable frozen- secondly sounds like only front brakes receiving enough pressure to "activate" properly- bleed all four brakes starting rear pass, then rear drive ,then front pass, then front drive- use plenty of fluid- bleed till fluid is clean without bubbles- will that long at first- this will insure not bubbles and no moisture- if a pro valve dies, you would have more problems- pedal would be really soft, would have both a brake light and abs warning lights

Try re-bleeding ALL wheels starting with furthest away - pass rear, then driv rear, then pass front and driv front. That should get your pedal back. To reset light you need ABS reset tool and it's EXPENSIVE. Have a good competent shop reset it for you. Body shops can reset them also.

1999 Chevy Tahoe- Soft Brake Pedal

Try having the dealer flush and bleed your system. It is very hard to bleed ABS systems yourself and have safe brakes that still work afterward. Bleeding non-ABS brakes yourself is easy not the same for ABS brakes. Valving, sensors and what-not require a tech and the correct equipment in my opinion. You do it wrong and you could ruin your ABS system. Do that and see if they firm up. I replaced my brake shoes/pads at the same time all new everything in back, drums/springs everything and new rotors up front. then I had the chevy dealer flush, refill and bleed system. Stiffer pedal and brakes work better. Keep in mind the brakes on 99 Tahoes are inaedequate, require new rotors often, heat up and fade/glaze pads regularly. I replace my pads long before they wear down because they glaze up and start fading early. I'll rough em up once maybe, next time, new ones. Every two brake jobs, new rotors for me. Just how it is. They will stiffen a bit and work better but they will never be awesome brakes. Just how it is on 99 and earlier Tahoes. Hope it helps. Very important to bleed correctly though. I'll bleed my 83 Toyota 4x4 myself but not the Tahoe.

Honda accord 2006

I’m assuming you got either the factory original ceramic brake pads or at least a decent quality aftermarket ceramic brake pad, not some cheapo semi metallic brake pad, such as Duralast or Raybestos PG’s.

When you replaced them did you properly lube the metal to metal contact points on the calipers? Remember, the pads have to be free floating, otherwise they will not properly engage and disengage from the rotors.

Did possibly some of the caliper lube get on the friction part of the brake pads? Whoops, no friction then. It happens, solution is buy another set, sorry.
Did you bleed all four brakes? Even though the system was not “Opened”, guess what, it already was every time you touch your brakes. The extreme heating and cooling during normal brake operations, even more so on Antilock Braking Systems (ABS ), sucks in moisture through those rubber brake lines and various other connection points. That’s the first reason why you do a quick bleed of the system. The second is to balance out the four wheel braking abilities, if you don’t, as the front wheels start to slow faster then rear, the ABS system releases the front brakes to maintain control.

92 dodge van rear ABS-brake and ABS lights on/can't reset?

Its probably how your bleeding your brakes, but first make sure the bleeding nipples are facing upward. You should bleed diagonaly, front pass wheel then rear driver wheel. Then front driver wheel and rear pass wheel. The abs light has its own computer your have to get it scanned to clear the codes and turn off the light
