I was getting a code PO155 so I replaced the camshaft position sensor. Almost immediately after erasing the code and starting the engine, the check eng light came back on. I checked and now I am getting PO122. I know that is TPS low voltage, but why didn't I get the code before I canged the CSP sensor?
SOURCE: 1996 Trans Am, getting a Po122 code TPS failure,
check all vaccuum hoses..can you hear air under the hood
SOURCE: i have a code of po122.tps i change the sensor
other sensor could be at fault, you will have to test all that are relater to the engine to determine the ones at fault. it can also be your computer malfunctioning. by resetting it, either the code will go away or you will get another code, maybe the same
Testimonial: "how do u now what to test how do find out if it is the computer"
SOURCE: Change TP Sensor on 04 focus, 2.0DOC, and still get code PO122?
Possible but I doubt it.
The code means the computer is not getting a signal back from the sensor.
To test the sensor you would have checked for the reference voltage on the yellow wire, then check the resistance of the sensor with a meter.
You probably don't have voltage going to the sensor, or else the harness is bad between the sensor and the computer.
The return voltage is low at idle and goes up as the throttle is opened. ( I think )
