My auto door locking quit on my 04 saturn vue and I was wondering how i could fix it or get it fixed it done this one other time before but started working again but it's quit again and ant started back working just yet what do I do to get it fixed or fix it myself

No, you can't disable it, you have to fix the problem, not try and find a way around it.

There is help to reset, but you probably need an auto electrician or a local place that installs alarms and remote starters. The both have pro grade scan tool computers to diagnose the problem.

Dear Jay,
Both of these outlets have a hot wire that begins at the fuse box, and ends at the socket; and a ground wire that begins at the socket and ends at a screw or connector to the negative ground of the car.
The sockets can melt, or short out, causing this problem.
They are cheaply made.
Unfortunately, you may have to do some serious "taking-it-apart" to fix them both.
My daughter also had a '04 Saturn Vue, with serious electrical issues.

You can look the sensor up on the auto parts websites for a price.
It would depend on the shop in your area for labor.
The sensor is probably $35 plus labor.

Try powdered graphite in the lock cylinder. NOT liquid but powdered. You can get it at auto parts stores or better grade at any good locksmith. Comes in a squeeze tube, couple of puffs into lick and work it in. It takes a short amount of time but it works great.

My 2004 Saturn Vue had the same problem. I thought the ignition had to be changed and I drove the Vue a long time with the key hard to turn and pushing it in before turning it. I mentioned it to a Saturn Dealer mechanic while having warranty work done. He told me a new key had to be made using the key code (located on the inside panel on the driver door). They made it and it totally fixed the problem. I think any GM dealer can do that for you.

may be you have a problem with actuator that opens the door if you have a hydrulic leak then you should change it

check the wires going from the driver door into the kick panel there should be a rubber thing around the wires and cut it off and the wires usualy break and loose connection
