The 1994 xj6 sedan. The trunk should be opened by the key unless you have green keys only (valet keys).
If this is the case then open the hood and on the firewall there is a black plastic square box with a + sign on it, lift up the plastic cover, connect your jumper/charger on a low boost and this will give you enough power to push your remote trunk release switch.

you may have to replace the remotes and then have them reprogramed for the car because they do go bad but if there is an autozone near you they will test the remotes for free

you can charge the battery from the engine compartment. check your owners manual that is the correct place to jump and to charge the battery.

Posotive can be found in hood driver side next to fuse box. It is a small rectangle box. You can hook negative to any solid ground on the car.
