06 f150 4.2 changed the transmission and now the trans fault lights on.Also not getting any readings on my 02 sensors. Ive checked fuses and any obvious grounds i could see.

hello i think it is the speed sensor because it operates the speedometer and this why the abs lights came on i had the same problem it should work.

Did you change the right O2 sensor, there are three O2 sensor on the impala, also re check the wire harness to the sensor. It may have a break on it when the wires were manipulated to remove the old sensor. Good luck and keep me posted. You can try this, put the ignition key to the run position and pull the fuse to the ECM (batt) for 30 seconds then place it back in. Start the engine and it may stall but let it, Don't touch anything just start it again. The ECM is re learning the Engine and there should not have any check engine light on. Let it idle for 1 min then go for a test drive, if there is no light then the ECM is cleared all the dtc codes. If the check engine light is on again then the code is new and needs to be addressed. did u change the right o2 sensor there is 2 sensors on bank1 and 2 on bank2.....upstream and down stream.....i had the same prob i changed the o2 senser to the other side to check and make sure it was the o2 senser....it took 4 o2 sensors before i got 1 that finally worked nd yes i was buying them brand new.....so change sides with it nd see if the code changes sides....and did u reset it with the code machine when u put the new 1 in?

Your cilinder 2 sensors are going wacky. located close to the cilinder itself. you may need to replace them chec your repair book for specific locations. Thenget a OBDII reader to erase code. Some autos if you disconnect your battery cable for a few may reset it to stop the blinking.

there are 2 possible problem and solution. 1st check your RPM sensor located in the transmission.(less expensive part). if this does not work. got to option 2 which is the computer box, try to consult an expert computer box technician to repair it or buy a new comp box. but before buying... be sure all electrical connections are good and no additional accessory are connected to the wirings.bad connections and circuits may lead to damage comp box.

P0134 is for #1 o2 sensor no activity. Google this for good info. Maybe you have a broken wire or bad plug. Did you inspect the plug pins going to sensor 1?

Trans starting slipping after modulator replaced

My 06 envoy denali xl shuts off while im driving it... what is the problem? ive changed the throttle body, ignition switch,and the crank position sensor. still hasnt fixed it

The engine and transmission in this cars drivetrain is fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Powertrain Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s)

Dear Sir, My Huyndai Sonata 2002 4 Cylinder. Transmission problem, it takes **** during shifting gear 2 to 3 and hangs on gear no 3. Some times its shifting normal. Please let me know the solution.

First check the fluid level on trans dipstick while engine is running,on flat ground and in 'park' a low reading may be the cause.I always like to change the fluid and filter when I have a transmission fault in the shop,but normally I wait until fault is located so as not to throw out the evidence(but I recommend to do).This type of fault is usually caused by dirty fluid in the trans not allowing valve body to function correctly, or a fault with the electronics,they being usually a speed sensor on the trans, or the throttle position sensor(tps)on the engine throttle body,It is better to have the vehicle engine and transmission computers(ecu)checked on a scan tool for any fault codes logged,this will save hours and $$.check around there are a huge number of scan tools out there for the home handyman(just ensure it does your car type),or check out the local garages,Prices can vary for this service,but it is quick and easy to have done. Prior to fault was there any work done on your car?I often get them in with plugs not reconnected or damaged by messy workmanship.A WORD OF WARNING! Do make sure that you have the correct trans type fluid for this model,most take an atf 3 type but some are cvt trans and they do not run on this fluid at all!trans codes should be on the vehicle ID badge.

I have a 2004 lincoln aviator on thursday the check engine light came on took it to a mechanic and he said the o2 sensor was bad and on saturday the check transmission light came on!!! is it because of...

Sorry, they are not related.
O2 Sensor has to do with the fuel and emissions of the vehicle. Usually the O2 sensor replacment is a simple job, much like changing out a spark plug. the sensor cost about $35 part only. But there are 2 of them. Your mechanic or part shop can test them.
The check transmission light could be noting more that low fluid. Haw you had the vehicle in to have the scheduled transmission oil change?

I have a 1997 Chevy Blazer with the 4.3 engine. The Service Engine light keeps coming on. I scanned the codes and replaced the O2 sensor just before the catalytic converter. The light is still coming on...

Pending codes and DTCs? Posted on November 12, 2010 by fcrmaster
When reading codes from your vehicle the fault code reader may show them as pending codes or normal Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC).
Pending codes (also known as continuous monitor codes) will be registered when an intermittent fault occurs. If that fault does not happen again after x number of start/stop cycles, the ECU will erase the code from memory. If the fault is persistent it becomes a DTC.
If you have read pending codes it is advisable to check the codes again after a week or so. If there is no apparent problem with the vehicle it is safe to erase the codes too and check back. But always make a note of any fault codes with the date and mileage of a vehicle.
If the codes read include a DTC then you need to investigate further. This you can either do yourself or advise your garage. If, again, you don't see an apparent problem (depending n the severity of the code) with the vehicle you can note the codes down and erase them. Then check again after a week or a few days depending on how often the vehicle gets used. If a repair has been made (previous owner) the DTC may just not have been reset after the repair.
The other numbers behind the code 01/06 , 02/06, 03/06 , 05/06 ,04/06 These don't mean anything . cheap code reader .
