SOURCE: when low beam headlight is on passenger sign is

Try this to eliminate new bulbs for both sides:
With a partner behind the wheel:
PULL out the bulbs one at a time. Keep them plugged in. While you are holding the bulb - have your partner click and HOLD the High Beam Selection. This causes the Low Beam and High Beam filaments to both go on and stay on.
Check both sides this way.
While the bulbs are out, look at the filaments that did not illuminate. Are they broken, bent, or have indications they are burnt out?
You can also change to bulbs (left to right, right to left) and recheck using the above method of holding the high beam selector and checking the filaments.

SOURCE: low beam headlights keep burning out, 8 times on

If you visit many forums for Elantras, you will see that frequent headlamp failure is very common. It has been discussed over and over again and it is thought that always turning the lights off and on via the stalk switch is recommended. If you leave the light switch in the on position, when you start your car, the lights briefly flash on then off again as you turn your ignition to the start position and then turn on again as you release the key to return to the "on" position. This may be causing a power surge which creates stress on the bulb filament and can only be avoided by using the light switch instead of the ignition to power up the headlamps.

Hi Steven, I guess you have checked the fuses? Some time (and I'n not saying this is your problem) the fuses are wired in such a way that if one blows (and the fuse is on the earth side of the circuit) there will be an output, but the circuit will either use the earth through the the other bulb or fail to earth. I would also suggest having a look at the relays and their operation. Lastly, check the earth connections again. Regards John

2006 KENWORTH T800 Tractor unit. How to fix my driver side low beams. 2006 KW T800

  1. Locate the power wire that goes from the fuse panel to the passenger side headlight. Follow the wire from the headlight back to the fuse panel to determine its path.
  2. Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical accidents.
  3. Cut the power wire as close to the fuse panel as possible.
  4. Remove the old wire from the fuse panel and run a new wire in its place. You can use the same gauge wire as the original.
  5. Connect the new wire to the fuse panel and the headlight. Make sure all connections are tight and secure.
  6. Reconnect the battery and test the headlights.

Low Beam Drivers Side doesn't work ... low voltage,

Power for the headlights on the Left side (High and low beam.) comes from the same fuse... The ORANGE wire and the ORANGE/BLACK are the same, they connect in the harness. If you only lack the 12v to make the light work connect them at the headlight assembly.

If your low beam also lacks ground the Left low beam ground is shared with the right low beam ground... Run a wire from left low beam DARK BLUE to right low beam DARK BLUE/WHITE.

If its not working now then your cursed, seek a witch doctor.

No low beams toyota tercel

Hi,
Check that there is not a relay on the low beam circut, you should find the relay for this in the engine bay area. Also check for a separate mounted relay which may have been fitted to allow larger wattage headlight bulbs to be fitted. I hope this helps, let me know how you get on.
