SOURCE: 1998 S10 Chevy Horn not working

You most likely need a new clock spring rotating contact under the steering wheel, it is a plastic ribbon with wire in it to connect the horn button and other accessories to the steering wheel while allowing the wheel to turn.

SOURCE: How to change horn on 1998 montero sport

Just changed my horns on my 98 Montero Sport and come to find out it was the horn relay. The horn relay is located near your power steering resivour its a small black square you will see some electrical lines running to it. Give it a couple taps and then try out your horn again. If that dosnt work your horns are located right behind your turn signals on your front bumper, they are circluar 3in and golden colored. You can get dealer ship replacement horns for 30 plus dollars or go to a autozone or advance auto and get aftermarket ones

SOURCE: where is the horn located on a 1998 ford explorer

The horn is usually between the radiator and grill Assembly. The fuse is in fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side. Look at the lid and it shows the fuse placement and there use.

Need to know where the horn located in 2013 avalanche

In the 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche, the horn is located behind the front grille on the driver's side of the vehicle.

To access the horn, you'll need to remove the front grille. Here are the general steps to removing the front grille:

1. Open the hood of the vehicle and locate the clips that secure the top of the grille in place.
2. Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry up on the clips and release them.
3. Locate the bolts or screws that secure the bottom portion of the grille to the vehicle's frame.
4. Use a wrench or socket set to remove these bolts or screws.
5. Once all the fasteners have been removed, gently pull the grille away from the vehicle.

With the grille removed, you should be able to access the horn and inspect it for any damage or issues. If you need to replace the horn, you can do so by disconnecting the wiring harness and removing the mounting bolts that hold it in place.

2000 Toyota Tacoma Horn Relay location needs replacing

1- The HORN fuse is located in the fuse panel on the driver's side under the engine hood. Of course, if it is "blown" replace with the SAME size or smaller and retest the horn.
2- Verify the horn itself (isolated) using one wire attached to the Main Battery + (POSITIVE) to the spade terminal on the horn. The horn can be accessed after carefully unclipping the fasteners connecting the front grill to the radiator area- just be careful- work slowly. The horn is naturally grounded to the vehicle frame.
3- If the horn sounds with the direct bypass voltage test move to the cab. when you depress the combo horn pad/airbag listen carefully for the relay behind the left under-dash area. If you hear it, then the relay is "closing" but it still may be bad or the voltage from the horn relay is not getting to the horn. I would replace the relay. However, there may still be a wiring problem to the horn.
4- The Horn Relay for the '00 Toyota Tacoma V6 4WD I worked on was BEHIND the cabin fuse panel on the far left driver's side (oh thanks guys). I went to the trouble of pulling down this relay/fuse block- it was not exactly "easy" but I am not a beginner and had the tools and my curiosity and sleuthness prevailed. If the new relay does not fix this issue my next step is to replace the wire from that relay to the horn. Again, not easy but not impossible either. Take you time, use the right tools and materials & check your work. The only other option was mentioned earlier- drop in a new momentary switch (lighted?) into the dash and run a new wire. I would NOT use switched power so it can be used without the vehicle running... I think it is safer. This is a view of the interior panel dropped down. One of the relays can be seen- the grey cube with a empty relay socket just to the right. Why they put these here- is anyone's guess.

1998 Saturn SC - horn stuck on then stopped working completely. Where is the horn located? Do I need to change the horn?

Horn is located beneath the driver side headlamp.

Replace the horn ONLY with a saturn horn as it has a built in relay.

Going with a high power horn will burn out your spring clock.

Replacing the horn.

OK, here is a step by step guide to help you replace the horn at hand.

Step1 Locate the stock horn. It will be in the front under-hood area of the truck and may be under the battery or inside the area between the fender and the inner fender. Behind the grille is also a possible location for the stock horn.
Disconnect the power wire, which will be attached to a spade on the horn. If possible, remove the horn. The horn will be held in place with a small bolt. Step2 Purchase a replacement horn, either from the dealer or a universal aftermarket model from an automotive parts dealer. Step3 Install the horn in the original mount if a stock horn is the replacement choice. Reconnect the power wire. Step4 Mount a universal horn in the stock bracket if possible, or use a large self-tapping screw and mount in a convenient location using the bracket that is supplied with it. Step5 Connect the wire connector to the horn. In most cases the stock wire connector will simply plug on to the spade connection of the new horn. If it does not fit, cut off the original connector and replace it with a solderless female spade connector and plug that onto the horn terminal. If the horn has two terminals, the other is to be grounded to the car body using a self-tapping screw.

Please rate and god bless:)

The horn on my truck stopped working

Check your fuses first for a blown fuse. Also try to recall last time you used the horn, and if it sounded muffled, quieter than normal or just not right, and if it was acting up it's more than likely the horn, wich is located under the bumper by the fender usualy. Also remove your horn button on the wheel, and make sure the wire is conected, and intact.
Hope this helps, Good luck!
