There are a few ideas here. The car shouldn't start in neutral, it should only start in Park and with foot on the brake. The are a number of sensors, switches and modules that make this happen. Take it to the dealership.
Using a volt meter check the voltage at the battery with the vehicle running. There should be more than 13.5 volts. If it is more like 12 volts or less that the alternator is not working or there is an open between the alt and the battery. The most common cause of the battery light is a bad alternator.
an alternator charges between 13volts and 15 volts usually. it is regulated by the battery's need internally. this internal regulation is accomplished by the diode trio and or the voltage regulator within the alternator. be sure that the heavy lead from the alternator to the battery is clean and tight and that the battery terminals are clean and tight.
there is no specific time frame for alternators, over time the components wear and they fail, it happens faster if you have a lot of after market stuff like an amp and subs. I have seen alternators last well over 100,000 miles and have seen them go bad at 30,000.
SOUND LIKE ALTERNATOR NOT CHARGING.CHECK ALTERNATOR DRIVE BELT COULD BE SLIPPING NEED ADJUSTMENT.IF BELT TENSION OKAY CHECK ALTERNATOR OUT PUT AT BATTERY.SHOULD BE 13.5 TO 14.5 VOLTS.IF NOT ALTERNATOR FAULTY ALSO CHECK ALTERNATOR FUSE.DUE TO RADIO LOCK OUT FEATURES FIRST TURN OFF RADIO BEFORE REMOVING NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE BEFORE REPLACING ALTERNATOR.
ALTERNATOR DRIVE BELT TENSION COULD BE LOOSE WHERE BELT IS SLIPPING CAUSING BELT TO GET TOO HOT BURNING CAUSING BELT SHREADING ALSO CAUSING POOR BATTERY CHARGING CONDITIONS.HAVE THE HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP ADJUST ALTERNATOR BELT TENSION.
As a precautionary measure, I would suggest taking the car to an autoparts store and have the alternator output and battery condition checked. Most parts stores offer this service at no charge. Sometimes dimming headlights can be caused by voltage fluctuations. Hope this helped and best wishes.
