2007 g5 gt coupe airbag light keeps flashing constantly. The airbags and the airbag module have all been changed and are new. This problem of the constantly flashing airbag light existed before the bags and module were changed but there are no codes showing on a scan tool.

I had this problem in my pontiac earlier this year. The first dealership tried to tell me that I had caused this by shoving things under my passenger seat (which was not the case). I went to a second dealership where they informed me that gm is aware of this problem and had links sent out to dealerships to help them deal with this problem. At the time GM had 3 engineers working with dealerships to help diagnose problems. They kept my car for 2 days changing out various parts and putting in new codes and finally they got it working correctly. Since this was a GM problem they covered all costs and gave me a rental free of charge for the 2 days. You definitely need to get this fixed because they told me that had I not fixed it and I'd been in an accident, my airbag would not have deployed. Hope this helps!

To me it sounds like an intermittent lockspring problem. it is also called a airbag coil. this is the thing that keeps contact with all the steering wheel buttons and airbag when the wheel is turned..
