91 firebird (headlights wont go up or down).

I found two wires coming from the headlight module(LEFT CLIP),grey with black line and green with black line.the reason i found these wires was because my headlight motors quit working (up and down). They worked when i plugged them too the battery. The wires to the motors are the same, but the wires looked and worked fine untill now.I checked the grounds and fuses there fine. Can a switch(keep the motors from going up and down) or the (module) its self where headlight wires go to go bad? PLEASE HELP

Click on the link, hope you can read it? The top four wires are voltage. The two on the right come from head lamp switch. The two on the left are fuse protected, hot all the time. Use a test light and check for voltage. Hopefully the text will tell you how the module works. I don't know if replacing module will fix it, but, if voltage and grounds for the module are all ok, what else could it be?

SOURCE: headlight fuse 1998 firebird

The fuse box you are looking for is under the hood. You will find a black square box and it should say FUSE on top. Take the lid off and the cover should have the location of the headlamp fuse. If it is not the fuse/breaker it could be a bad dimmer switch in the column.

i had the same problem, open the hood look by the headlights, just to the side of them you will see knobs. with the lights off turn the knobs (one at a time it is easier), turn it 'till the light come all the way up, do the same for the other then turn the lights on , they should try to go up and the immediately go down. this usually resets the motors to allow the to reach there complete stooping point.

SOURCE: Need to replace a headlight assembly for a 2006 Subaru Outback.

No, you just remove the radiator grill and the side marker light and the headlight housing bolts and it comes out. Not a real hard job and is Real straight forward. Good luck and have a good day.

I just looked at a wiring diagram for the year and make of your car and it shows a circuit breaker for the right and left side headlamp motors. This is probably be located inside you fuse panel. It will say HDLP #1 & #2. Ihop that this helps, if you need the wiring diagram I can email it to you.

1994 nissan pickup headlight issues wont turn on right side everything else works brother told me something about headlight possible relay issue and I hear a tick when pushing in contactor in steering...

I think the left and right side are powered separately on that vehicle. Check for a Red/Green wire for the left and Red/Black for the R at the steering column. Check for a possible blown fuse. That would be easiest. You could have a bad ground wire on that side as well.

Driver side signals only work when headlights are OFF

What may have happened is either the headlights wiring or the parking lights wiring somewhere along the wiring fused to the left turn signals wiring. Depending on if the turn signals go on when you put the parking lights on or the headlights on.

If the signals come on when you turn on the headlights than you only need to locate the light green wire that comes off the left turn signal harness.

Next follow that wire the entire way back to the firewall looking for another wire fused to that wire as you go.

If there are no signs of this you need to continue looking on the other side of the firewall all the way back to the turn signal and hazard flasher unit which is a black box that connects to a black harness located next to a grey harness behind the knee bolster.

But if the signals come on when you turn on the parking lights than you will also need to check the wiring from the rear left signal and follow that light green wire all the way back to the turn signal and hazard flasher unit.

This should fix your problem, but if not than your problem may lay within the the wiring between the turn signal/hazard switches and the turn signal and hazard flasher unit.

Also you may have a burnt circuit in the junction block. This block is where the light green from the rear left signal and front left signal meet. Don't have a description but if you cannot find it let me know and I will go out to the yard and look myself and let you know.

Headlights

The only thing that all of your problems have in common is the light switch and the dash wiring harness. The stereo is linked to the light switch because of it's illumination feature' You need to test the light switch with a test light by probing the wires at it's plug.
