2000 caddlica escalte transmission Problem when it warms up it dosent want to shift

check transmission fluid level.if transmission fluid level okay have vechicle code scan look for faulty transmission fluid pressure switch or faulty transmission range switch.faulty transmission control module.if all is good make sure transmission manual shift linkage not out of adjustment or shift cable broken if all is good possible transmission just failed.

your shifter cable is going bad.

Well when you are in cold weather and after a high mileage. The Transmission solenoids fails when its cold and they get stuck for a moment and all i can say is that you warm your car for a while before you leave your house and thats good for the engine too and aslo will keep your car running for a long time. it worked for my truck, change fluid and filter

i would try to check your ground wires sound like not grounding right try to check the input and out put speed sensor make sure they are working correctly

I would try changing the transmision filter before any damage happens.

Check the kick down cable. If it sticks the transmission won't shift. I sprayed WD-40 on both the top and bottom connectors , and it worked like a charm. It's alot cheaper them spending 2000 on a new transmission you don't really need.

Please check your transmission fluid level. After the engine is warm pull the transmission stick and make sure the level is close to the full line and that the transmission fluid is red and not brown. You may have to change your transmission fluid and screen. If you plan to do it yourself I can advise you on how to change it step by step or you can take it to a transmission shop or dealership for a transmission tune-up. Good Luck

If fluid level is good, the hydraulic value of the trans fluid maybe low or worn. If fluid is old or burnt, (never been changed, or high mileage,) sometimes not a good idea to flush. Highly suggest LUCAS (ONLY) Transmission Treatment, carefully read instructions on bottle. Transmission replacement is expensive, following maintance will prove rewarding! If you wait to long to flush trans your worse off!!! Hopefully helpful!!!!
