2005 dodge caravan. all locks quit working. I have replaced the 20 amp fuse. I have taken out the 20 amp fuse and put it back in. I have disconnected the battery cables for 30 seconds. At 1st it worked for months. after a few years it now only works for a couple of days HELP Richard
Pulling fuse's an disconnecting battery's isn't the way to fix this . Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop. The BCM - body control module controls the power lock's . Hooking up a factory or professional scanner looking at data pid's -parameters is , codes etc... . What 20 amp fuse ? My service info. shows 40 amp fuse #19 , I see a 20 amp fuse # 14 - this powers the anti-theft module (SKREEM) sentry key remote entry module.

SOURCE: 2005 town & country electric door locks quit working
the door locks are controlled by the body computer and one of the switches may be bad. When you pull the fuse you are clearing the computer codes and the locks work fine until that switch acts up. once the computer sets a code for a shorted or stuck switch all switch inputs are ignored until you pull the fuse and reset everything. Could also be a bad wire to the switch or a bad computer.

It appears that it is part of the fuel pump circuit, so I would concentrate on wiring harness & connector at fuel pump, clean it real good, and apply dielectric grease to the connection, as well as the fuel pump relay, connector & harness.

Instead of pulling a fuse which will definately trip off another time, why not take it for reprogramming?
I recommend you get an expert in security locks to reprogramme the locks for your car.
Rate this please.
How ever you might look under the hood and see if you have a fuse pannil there if so on the underneith of the pannil it will have a diagrm of what fuse goes where....best of luck
