Fuel filtre just screws off but putting it bac k you should fill it with clean fuel cause the primer pump on top off housing does not always work i presume its a diesol pathfinder

In the rear cargo area you pull the back plastic strip that runs around where your hatch latches and pull the carpet FROM the rear right to the front left of the cargo area until you see the round/square panel with 4 10mm bolts. That is the cover that you remove to get to your pump without having to pull your gas tank. be sure to label your fuel lines.

On top of fuel tank, remove both lines from pump assembly Then from fuel line going to the right past the filter. The fuel filter and both lines going to assembly are fuel filter assembly

Fuel filter is simple facing the front of your engine it will be on the left side of the engine case remove the fuel pump fuse turn over engine to get rid of pressure in fuel line then unscrew fuel filter bracket and then loosen the clamp screws slide the clamps out of the way on fuel line then use pliers to role the fuel line counter and then clockwise to loosen them up and then pull the fuel lines off make sure when you put the new fuel filter on you have it going in the same direction as the old one.
O I thought I should add to position of fuel filter is between the back of engine case and the hump of the wheel well inside the engine case.
