just because the pump motor is running doesn't mean its pumping check the pressure. think that one is about 16 psi

would say lack of fuel ie check fuell pump if carb is it blocked

My best guess is the fuel pump. Even thogh the fuel pump is comming on it might not be putting out enough pressure. Spray some carb cleaner into the throttle valve in the engine, and try starting it. If it runs then you know its a fuel pump.

Try cleaning the fuel filter. listen for a whirring noise from the fuel pump when you turn the key.

If you have the 6.0 ltr diesel, then check the bowl where the 2nd fuel filter is, see if there is fuel in the bowl, if not then either your fuel pump which is on the frame under the driver's side in the water seperator/ heater has gone bad, or your filters could be bad, or the fuse to the fuel pump or the pump shut off switch which is located on the side panel at your feet on the passengers side, there is a reset button, make sure it has not popped and press it down, hopefully this helps, I had the same prob.

well christian you need to check fuel pump pressure and volume.if the fuel filter hasn;t been replaced in 30,000 mies i would replace it. but first the engine needs to be tested to see if all four sparkplugs have good spark and injector pulse.perform a injector pressure drop test .will tell if the injectors are allowing gas to pass.also if the engine cranks over slow may need the starter tested.engine will not start unless it reaches a rpm over 550.

ONE WAY TO CHECK YOUR FUEL PUMP IS WHEN IT HAS ITS PROBLEM TURN THE KEY OFF AND BACK ON IF IT STARTS THEN I WOULD CHANGE THE FUEL PUMP

yea electronic fuell pumps do go bad it could be faulty or dirt could be stoping the fuel from reaching the engine causing it not to start or the engine or spark plugs could be flooded if so take them out dry and clean them put them back in and see then if not report to main dealer or local garage recomend honda specialest same thing happened to my dads car 728bmw the fuel pump was faulty and he was driving to work and the car just stoped dead and it was the fuel pump was faulty so try and see
