SOURCE: have a 2004 kia sorento. have a transaxel fault

Your transaxle is the transmission. The TPS is the throttle position sensor. ECM is the is the engine's computer. The TCM is the transmission computer. So, the throttle position sensor is not reporting to either and needs to be replaced. They seem to be about $180 for the part.

SOURCE: oil sending unit on 2004 chrysler sebring V6

Should be located close to the oil filter. It will screw in like a spark plug. It has a harness plug. Easy to change, save yourself $70 in labor. You will need a fairly large wrench to remove

SOURCE: 2004 chrysler sebring idle speed is too slow. HOw

why do you want your rpms higher while idling? you don't want them high because your gas bill will reflect that. slow shouldn't matter but if it's dying while on idle it could either be your mass air flow sensor or your fuel filter being clogged

SOURCE: Where is the fuel filter located on a 2004 Chrysler Sebring Sedan

Some of the Sebrings have two filters(one is called a sock). The sock(which all sebrings have) is located in the fuel tank itself on the pump module. If this model is the JXI then the external filter is located on the belly of the car between the tank and drivers rear seat. I hope I could help!!!

Hello Sean Hector,

Typically a half dozen issues COULD be
stopping your START... Get your code read...
and ignore THE COUNTER CLERK's OXYGEN
SENSOR
sales pitch (they seldom solve the issue)

None of this "STUFF" is magic... and everybody
typically starts at the beginning ... but wouldn't it be
nice to know some important TIPS in advance.

Your ECM
(for example) is AMAZINGLY cheap
(eBay: see here)
2004 Chrysler Sebring 2 4L Engine Computer Control Module ECM ECU PCM PCU...

But RE-PROGRAMMING is required (not cheap)...
On my eBay example it is PRE-PROGRAMMED
(see bottom links: 2004 Sebring)

An important NOTE about AUTOMOTIVE electronics...
.(actually ANY semiconductor circuits you care about):

The tiniest static SPARK (you might not even feel)
is enough to UTTERLY DESTROY any semiconductor
on the planet...

Electro-static DISHARGE:
ESD
precautions should always be employed...
(A very simple and cheap [high resistance] wrist band)
Amazon com Rosewill ESD Anti Static Wrist Strap Components RTK 002 Black...

Typically automotive mechanics GET AWAY
with their GROSS NEGLIGENT behavior because
they are usually contacting (grounding themselves)
METALIC body parts, nuts bolts... (etc.) an THEN
touching the various CONTROL MODULES. ECM,
PCM, BCM...TCM (etc.).

ALSO ...
High IMPEDANCE (resistance) test equipment...
or EVEN better... Non CONTACT test equipment
can get your testing done (professional results...
Without EXPLODING those pesky AIR BAGS.
(also quite expensive... never-mind dangerous).
((look on AMAZON for NCVT DC testers))

So as more & more cars are carbon fiber, plastic
(non-metallic et al)... Fewer SEMICONDUCTORS
are going to survive mishandling... I am only
concerned with YOUR CONTROL MODULES.

Hope this gets you SAFELY started

1998 Chrysler Sebring convertible Not shifting into drive check engine light came on, error code PO715

DTC P0715 CHRYSLER - Input Speed Sensor 1 Circuit
P0715 is detected when TCM or ECM does not receive the proper signal from the sensor.

The input speed sensor detects the primary pulley revolution speed and sends a signal to the Transmission Control Module (TCM) and Engine Control Module (ECM).

Symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Possible shifting problems

Possible causes
- Transmission speed sensor circuit is open or shorted.
- Poor transmission speed sensor circuit connection
- Faulty transmission speed sensor

Hope this clues helps to solve it.
