When that light comes on, it is indicating charging system problem which could mean alternator not charging for one reason or another like loose belt, faulty alternator, or yes, bad battery or connection at battery, for example. First & easiest thing to do is check all your connections to battery, which you've probably done, and make sure they're tight & clean. Make sure belt driving alternator is good & tight, and in good shape. Now boost the vehicle to get it going & test voltage at battery, after you take cables off. My guess is in your case, the voltage will begin to go down, indicating a bad alternator, that will need to be replaced.

Sounds like maybe your alternator's going
Get to an auto parts store and have them check your alternator and battery usually for free....Advanced Auto Parts does this for me free.

The best battery is the biggest one that you can fit in the battery box. There is no such thing as too much battery. The one that came in your car from the factory is the smallest one they could get to do the job. Certainly you should be in the 500 CCA (cold cranking amps) range, especially if you live in a cold climate. Hope this helps.

U can have anywhere from a bad ground a short or a power drain in one of ur instruments in the car
Most likely some debris such as leaves and pine needles as clogged the drain channels on the fender.Pop the hood and look for a buildup of crud in the corner of the windshield and the engine compartment, usually a rubber gasket in that area that allows water to drain behind the fender.
Or it may be a leak in the sealant around the windshield
