We have the same problem, the ground wire from the battery is too small of a gauge. Replace it and it should be fine, get a size up gauge or you can use the same but expect it to happen again within a year when it corrodes again. It's a common defect in this model.

SOURCE: Sudden loss of power while driving

One thing you should notice that could tell you if the the engine is misfiring is that the check engine light will flash. If it dose it is saying you have a misfire in either one or more cylinders. If the check engine light dose not flash then it could be more of a fuel pump related issue. but as I said 1st thing would be to check the code... then i could tell you whats going on. good luck

SOURCE: Check Engine Light

If the light isn't flashing, it is safe to drive. If it is flashing, then catalytic converter damage can result. Have a parts store check the codes for you and come back and post the code.

The codes are both evap system codes. The only good way to find the leaks is to take it to a shop that has a smoke machine. They will pump smoke into the evap system to find the leak.

My 2005 chrysler pacifica is making a light hurling sound coming from the engine and gets louder when i step on the gas pedal

My personal feeling if this persists then you should ask a good mechanic as it could be the start of bad things to come. But too
also might be nothing to worry about. I would ask a mechanic who would know his stuff. Should be no charge to ask.

2004 Chrysler Pacifica check engine light came on. Ran codes. Replaced erg valve and oxygen sensor. Can't clear codes and nothing new comes up

Clear codes by hooking up a scanner, and go through the "clear codes" sequence. It will erase all stored codes. If it doesn't, you have a problem with the ECM/PCM (engine computer), or the data link connector.

We bought a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica, it has 65,000 miles. A couple of months after we got it, the fuel gauge started acting up. When it hit 1/2 tank it would go down to empty then go back up, fuel was hard...

i had the same problem when i bought a 2004 pacifica with 44k for about the first year. the car never stalled or broke down, the problem eventually went away.

2004 Chrysler Pacifica. Sometimes when stopping the engine dies. I have to put the vehicle is start and restart. Then the check engine light comes on. Help!!!!

you most likely have a p0404 dtc for egr valve if you go to autozone they will scan it for free if this is the case then replace the egr valve what happens is it sticks open causing an internal vacuum leak stalling out the engine.
