Hiya...the factory-installed keyless remote control are installed in most Equinoxes IF SO equipped with this option that year.
However, it's difficult to get "true factory-installed" keyless feature in your Equinox ....but new 2008-2009 Equinoxes built this year now comes with standard keyless remote and yes, new option is remote STARTER feature (that option is identified by a black wire found inside the rear-right quarter window with thin metal line surrounding that interior window to receive signal from remote starter fob)

At least you can find after-market keyless remote control at your local retail store.

There is no onboard programming procedure for this vehicle. This vehicle requires special equipment be connected to the vehicle to program the keyless remote. Please go to the nearest GM dealer for assistance

2005 Chevy Equinox Power Seat Switch Diagram!
You see the circuit breaker, supplies voltage to power seat switch, You see the wire color? On hinge side of driver door is probably a wiring harness, probably has a protective rubber boot covering. Pull the boot back far enough to see wire colors, use a testlight, have to penetrate the insulation to get at the wiring. If no voltage, either wire is broken or check for voltage at the circuit breaker. Black wire is ground, check that also.

You see the wire colors for seat motors, those are voltage and ground, depending on which way the motor is moving.

How to replace the big wire harness connector on left drivers side kick panel. Here is a link to a pic of what it looks...
I took a look in my service manual and couldn't find anything related to replacing the connector and a visit to gmpartsdirect.com showed no major harnesses or connectors for that area available for purchase.
It may be possible that your only option will be to perform a bypass of the burned connector pin by cutting that wire back from both connectors in the harness, splicing a new wire directly between them and adding a blade connector in the new bypass to facilitate opening of the circuit for testing.

The harness at the drivers door is a common problem on the Equinox, you maybe able to fix the wires but it may be less expensive just to replace the harness.

If some one has cut yours out, then your best bet is to get it at a junk yard. Factory harness is alot of money and will be everything in the dash.

How to find fuse for a 2006 chevy equinox driver's power window
power windows are not usually fused. They have a circuit breaker that controls all the windows. So if only one window is not working it is something like a bad switch or window motor. Remove the door panel and unplug the connector to the window motor and check for power and ground when activating the switch.

Check inside wiring by the driver's side door hinge. Remove the rubber boot and you will find broken wires. Make a splice and you are fixed!
