Click on the link. I'd have to check the recline seat motor wiring circuits, You can see the wire colors in diagram, voltage and ground. The voltage and ground circuits switch depending on direction, up or down.
You could remove seat motor, use jumper wires off your battery for voltage and ground, you would reverse the wires depending on direction, You probably should use an inline fuse, just in case. If the motor only operates in one direction of nor at all, have to suspect the motor. That is a no load test. If the motor works both ways, I'd have to check mechanical linkages or gears that the motor uses, to see if anything broken?

This is a seat slide motor assembly problem. I worked for an Infiniti dealer for many years as a service advisor, and this was a common issue on these vehicles. Most of the time you can take the **** end of a screwdriver and tap on the motor from the front of the seat and it should start working. It may work for a while but it will most certainly stop, how soon depends on how far gone it is. Eventually it will quit working altogether and tapping it won't work either. As a service advisor we probably replaced a hundred of those things. Last I knew the part was about 280.00 and about an hour labor. I would not take it to someone who doesn't really know Infiniti though as you may get the car back with an air bag light flashing or something. Dealers really don't try to rip people off, they generally want to do the right thing as they want you to come back for all your problems, keep that in mind.

maybe you got pennies money stuck in the track if not you got 1 motor for that the motor goes in a assembly in there you have 2 cable a left and a right lock under the seat you probably got the right cale disconnect sometime there stuff that push under the seat and push that cable off if its that just push the cable back in let me know and please if you can take the time to rate this thank you pierre

Take the seat out and turn it over, to see if the gears are stripped, or if something simply became unattached.
It is needs expensive parts, consider a junk yard, or if really desperate, steal them from the passenger seat. Worst case, just lock it into one position that is best for you.

The only way to solve this issue is to extract the seat and inspect. The front and back movement is different from the other actions that the seat may be able to do...
Look for damaged, dirty and miss aligned track components.

There are plastic gears connecting the track to the seat assembly. Whne one of these strip the seat will only work or move to one side. Infiniti does not sell a simple fix. You are looking at buying an entire seat assembly complete with the module for all the electronics. It will be at a cost of around $950 - $1000. Once that is in, Infiniti must program the seat to the brain of the car, only then can you reset your memory settings.
