It depends on which transmission you have. the NP2500 uses 10w-30 if i remember right. I don't remember if a the NP2500 was an option in 93'. The AX-15 uses syncromesh, 10w-30 synthetic, Redline MTL, 75w-90 GL3 or GL4. DO NOT USE GL-5 oils. Dodge/Chrysler books made a mistake on this. From experience GL-5 oil make the brass syncro-rings sticky. Toyota used the same transmisison and calls for GL-3 or GL-4 oils. I've been using Redline MTL for about 50k miles. It shifts smoother and and doesn't get sticky when very cold. If it has the NV3550 transmission, it uses the syncromesh or Redline MTL oil.

sound like your tran is short. pretty comen prolbem for them. the only other thing you could do is have itscaned just maybe the computer on the tran is short. good luck
