It depends on which transmission you have. the NP2500 uses 10w-30 if i remember right. I don't remember if a the NP2500 was an option in 93'. The AX-15 uses syncromesh, 10w-30 synthetic, Redline MTL, 75w-90 GL3 or GL4. DO NOT USE GL-5 oils. Dodge/Chrysler books made a mistake on this. From experience GL-5 oil make the brass syncro-rings sticky. Toyota used the same transmisison and calls for GL-3 or GL-4 oils. I've been using Redline MTL for about 50k miles. It shifts smoother and and doesn't get sticky when very cold. If it has the NV3550 transmission, it uses the syncromesh or Redline MTL oil.

Look around shift linkage area of transmission for a threaded in plug with 3 or so wires to it. Neutral safety & back-up are in one switch.

if it is a manual then it would be your reverse light switch, if it's auto then your neautal switch is worn seeing that you have check bulbs and wires already

Manual transmission oil change method - Dakota

Disconnect the plug underneath to drain fluid, look in your service manual to find the capacity and viscosity. There is a plug in the side of the transmission as well that is the filler plug, however it is more convenient to pour through the shifter once you remove it. If you use the filler plug method you will have to attach a tube to the oil bottle and squeeze it into the transmission as there may not be ample room to tilt the bottle and use gravity.
