Suspect inoperative blend door actuator/motor not working properly. There are several actuators attached to the heater box assembly that control air flow direction and heat/cold operation. Some are easily accessable while others are labor intensive to access.

Locksmith, or the dealership can cut you an extra key off of the VIN number with proof of ownership.

Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6234839-doesn_t_heater_or_air_conditioner_blow . These are generic instructions.
Your switch is fairly easy to replace, but may be expensive as the whole control set is probably sold as a unit and only by the dealer.
If you get a new one, here is how to put it in:
There are 4 screws holding the bezel in--2 above the radio and 2 hidden below. You have to take out the cup holder to get to the bottom screws. See the following photos to get to them:
remove the cupholder
pull off this trim piece and remove the 2 screws underneath.
The cupholder bracket must come out to get the bezel out. First unclip the light, then both will come out.
In this last photo, you can see the control unit is screwed to the bezel. Pull the knobs off the front and unscrew the unit--it sould come off. Maybe you can troubleshoot it once it
