SOURCE: how do you replace the starter on a 99 mazda 626

its not to bad to do it yourself. you will have to jack up that car pretty high and us some good flexible ratchets to get the bolts off. you can follow the wires from the battery cables and it will connect to the starter. make sure you disconnect the battery first. you will see it to your left from the center of the engine when you are laying underneath your car. kinda looks like a cylinder attached to the engine. if you cant do it have a pro mess with it unless you have time on your hands. make sure to check the wire connectors to the starter or else it will make poor contact and drain your battery as well. they start to rot after being over 10 yrs old but you cant tell unless you peel off the tape or rubber molding on the copper wires.

SOURCE: 99 Mazda 626 2.0 changed starter 3x's. No start

Well it could be an engine problem, or a bad connection with one of the battery cables. The engine would require more voltage to crank when it is hot, but not that much.
You might want to have someone check the engine to see how much drag is has when hot, by turning the crank by hand.

Where is the starter relay in a 99 mazda 626 - car wont start - it was hard to get out of Park this morning could this be related to the transmission?

I looks to me that there is either problem with shifter or possibly transmission. Not being able to remove key is a sign that shifter in not fully in park position and key trap won't let you to remove it. That also will prevent.you from starting because almost all cars.with automatic transmission allow.for.start in park and neutral position

Montehammons answered my Mazda 626 starting problem .BUT I wanted to ask, when it will not start I rock it and it starts ??? Trans relay switch?

I'm back, Gary-like that commercial on tv where mechanics chase cars down the road on creepers! You have a failing connection somewhere. If you rock it and it works, don't sound like a relay-don't sound like the neutral safety switch-it really sounds like a failing starter or starter solenoid. To check, wait till it won't start, then check for power at solenoid wire when key is held in crank. If power then, suspect a bad starter or solenoid-have tested. If no power, try a new relay-starter relay. Another relay in your car may be same as the starter relay (same part number) so try swapping a different relay. Again, doesn't sound like relay, but you never know until tested. Good luck.

When i start it clicks. i thought it was the battery, i put a new one and it still clicks. The lights, radio and everything is on, but it doesn't start. I got a Mazda 99 626 I need help, please!

by the sounds of it the starter is the problem, some time if you can get to it if you hit the body of the starter and then try to start it it will start up some times not. you can try this but you will in the end have to replace it. if you do hit it and and it starts the starter has started to go bad.

98 Mazda 626 Won't Crank, Won't Jumpstart, no power on anything

Either one of your cables isn't getting a good enought contact on the battery or solenoid, or the solenoid is bad, or relay for starter is bad.
