Was the vehicle a previously rental vehicle? because if it was there is probably a speed govenor on it or a rpm govenor on it most likely a speed govenor if a previous rental vehicle

It's in 'safe mode'. Fault 66 is a nightmare! Usually caused by the sensors not talking to each other properly or 'disagreeing' with each other. Check all the sensors are pluged in & have good connections. A dirty connection can cause this code to appear. Disconnect the battery & touch the + & - leads together to discharge the system & reset the computer & fault codes

I will remove the ground cable for 4 minutes to reset all data in ECU.///clock and radio stations too : (
Let the ECU to relearn the local environment parameter.

Ride with full tank of gas but NO TOP OFF.
Crack open gas cap carefully during rest stops to release / equalize gas tank pressure'
