Why are both the front and back window wipers not working in my 2007 Ford Escape? along with the passenger side charger port?

I have a 2007 ford escape that has unexpectedly been problematic, I've had this car for years and the only other problems I've had are the serpentine belt falling off due to the wrong sized belt. Both front and back window wipers unexpectedly stopped working today along with the charger port right next to the radio on the passenger side of the car, I have checked the fuses and those are okay, and the wiper motor seems to be okay as well, if anyone has any answers to this it would be greatly appreciated.

SOURCE: windshield wipers quit working on 2003 chevrolet trailblazer. relays and fuses are okay.

There were some issues with ignition switches in those vehicles. It is easy to change and does not cost but about $30. Remove the column covers, unplug the switch, and depress the 2 white tabs holding it in place. Good Luck

I had the same problem on my 2002 Escape. Ended up taking it to the dealer and they replaced the Lift Gate Lock Actuator - cost us about $310 (parts and labor). Part #1C3F-18C815-AB

SOURCE: Ford Escape 2003. Engine suddenly overheat.

Engine over heating can be caused by a number of things. When you say the water pump and radiator appear to be ok I am also guessing that you checked the coolant level to make sure it is normal.

If the level is low then you obviously have a leak. Insufficient coolant circulating will not cool the motor properly because it won't be able to draw enough heat out. If the level is normal then you need to check the thermostat to make sure it is opening properly. To do this, run the motor to temperature and check the top and bottom hoses. They should both be hot and firrm once the thermostat opens meaning the circulation loop is operating properly. If the top is hot and firm and the bottom is cold/soft or collapsed then the thermostat isn't opening.

If the thermostat is operating properly then you ned to look for some other obstruction or cause for coolant loss. Check the head/intake gaskets, hose connections, hoses, over flow tank, radiator fins, radiator side tanks etc..

Good luck.

Try checking the fuses in the fuse box under the steering column area by the drivers side front seat. The fuse that controls the functions for the back window area might be bad, blown or need replacement.
