SOURCE: Engine light on Diagnostic code is P0601

it is an internal problem in the pcm....if the car is under 8years old and 80000 miles take it to the dealer for free replacement under a fed emissions standard....if over you will have to pay...it could eventually leave you stranded

The green key flashing means that the key you are use is not registered to the car. If you just cut a new key for your car(it has to be a honda key, not a walmat key) your honda dealer will have to program it to your car. If it's a old key, maybe the chip in the key might be bad, time for a new key. good luck.

SOURCE: dashboard lights flashing. all of them.

I have a 2004 Honda and it had the flickering lights for two weeks, my husband said not to worry about it because the car was running fine. Today the car died while I was driving in the middle of the street. I had it tolled to a Honda dealer and they replaced the battery, the lights flickered again when they turned it on and they said that I would need to return to have that looked at. The car ran fine on the hour drive home, without the lights flickering. I am unsure what to do at this point. I do not want to invest a lot of money into the car as I plan to trade it, in March. Would the flickering lihts cause the battery to go dead? What else can the flickering lights cause?

This;
The flashing green key is your immobilizer indicator. My recommendation (I am a certified honda tech) is take it to your local acura dealer and have them do a hard reset of the immobilizer and reprogram your keys.

It could also be a bad immobilizer itself. If it is a bad immobilizer, the tech will be able to tell through the diagnostic system used to program keys.

Electrical, with dashboard green lock comes on and do not start.

Factory immobilizer is activates. There is either a fault with the immobilizer or it has detected a key being used that is unauthorized. You can try your other key (if you have one), google your car and key programming to see if you can reprogram it to your cat yourself, contact your local dealer or locksmith. You key has a chip in it that may have failed as well

My 99 Acura 3tl flashes a green key on dashboard and stalls out. I can get it restarted after sitting for a while. What's wrong??

You have an issue with the immobilizer built into the key. You will have to take it to the dealer for further diagnosis.

My '98 Ford Taurus won't start

"Security" or Key-shaped light flashes on the dashboard ? Your car might be equipped with an immobilizer. (you can find more information about the immobilizer in your owner's manual). The immobilizer allows the engine to run only if the correct key is used. If your car has an immobilizer, you probably see a "Security" or Key-shaped light coming on on the dashboard every time you turn the ignition ON. If this light is flashing when you turn the ignition ON, it could mean that there is some problem with an immobilizer or the system does not recognize the key. If the immobilizer doesn't recognize the key, the engine wold not start at all, or would start and then die in few seconds.
You can try a spare key, if it won't work, your dealer is the place to call. Sometimes, the key is just need to be reprogrammed.

2004 honda acoord keys locked out key6 light flashes on dash how do i reset

The green key light on the dash is your immobilizer system. If it flashes at you while you are cranking (no start). This means the key that you are using is not programmed to the immobi control unit. Try using another key. if all other keys are lost you'll have to get it down to you local honda dealer. it takes a special honda scan tool to program these keys to the control unit. If you don't want to spend money on a tow truck, ask you dealer about the Brake Code. This is a code specific to each vehicle. If your keys are lost/stolen you can input this Brake Code into the control unit by using your e-brake (special procedure). this will give you 10 free starts to get it to your dealer. (limp-in mode).

I have honda accord 2004 V6 and it wont start this morning. I was getting a green key sign on the dashboard. I tried changing the battery without any luck. Does any one know what is the cause of the...

The Green key Flashing indicates an issue with the immobilizer of the vehicle. This could be a problem with the key being not programmed, or having lost its program. Or this could be an issue with the immobilzer unit, or the part of the ignition switch which reads the key. If the vehicle is cranking with the green light flashing, you will ultimately need the honda dealer computer to program either the key or immobilizer unit.
