I have a rangerover 2.5 bmw p38 water leek only when cold from front of eng but can't see it loses a bout a cup full

Check water pump .

sounds like an vacume leek check all the vacume lines with soapy water in sqert bottle spre lines if eng changes sound idle up or down theres your problem...

You can buy some stop leak solutions at your local car parts store, but that is only a temporary fix. You will probably have to get it checked out by a proffessional.

hi im having the similar problem with my range rover p38 2.5td , i was on my way home i went from 3rd to 4th and then when i went to 5th the pedal went straight to the floor and it wont go into gear as there is no bite on the pedal at all. i thought it would need bleeding so i did so and nothing happened can anyone help.

It turned out to be a broken wire on the injector which was causing a bad connection,now running better than before.
The cold was just a coincidence.

Not to worry you just need to have the thermostat replaced in he engine, and while u are having that done have the system filled with fresh antifreeze
