2004 Chrysler Pacifica. My tailgate brake light doesn’t work but if you tap on the light it comes on then goes off. The license plate light doesn’t work at all even after I replaced the bulb. Could this be pinched wires or?

Hi,
A lot of tail-end wiring issues often relate to a bad ground connections.
Have a look to see if there's corrosion or broken wires relating to the grounding of the problem bulbs.?
Best of luck.

SOURCE: burned out license plate bulb

open trunk,

remove felt liner from rear of trunk, (liner directly behind rear lights in side trunk) should be 4 plastic Phillips head screws. Loosing screws, then slowly peel liner away. You will see 3 nuts on each side, removing these nuts will loosing the rear light lenses, so you can pull the lense away from the body from the out side to gain access to the license plate bulbs. Re-install in reverse order. While in there I would recommend replacing your brake light and reverse light bulb. Hey your already in there might as well do a little preventive maintance.

It is for an oil change mainly and any other service your maintenance manual suggests at the mileage interval. It needs to be reset after each oil change to be accurate.

SOURCE: no power to tail lights or license plate light.

check the fuse with a test light on both sides of the fuse,
next would be the headlight switch.

2004 Chrysler Pacifica check engine light came on. Ran codes. Replaced erg valve and oxygen sensor. Can't clear codes and nothing new comes up

Clear codes by hooking up a scanner, and go through the "clear codes" sequence. It will erase all stored codes. If it doesn't, you have a problem with the ECM/PCM (engine computer), or the data link connector.
