I have a 2000 buick lesabre and am looking for the ecm fuse. My car will start and then die. The fuel pump is priming to start but once it starts it seems the engine isn't getting fuel.

I think you could use this manual method instead.. My nephew used it to repair my
car and it's perfectly fine now. Here's the website he bought it from. www.reliable-store.com

SOURCE: 1994 buick lesabre fuel pump-

when you turn the key in run position, [not start] you should hear the pump hum for a few seconds. it's located in the gas tank.

You have a problem in the fuel pump relay circuit for sure then. I'm betting the relay, but it could be that dropping resistor.

SOURCE: 2000 buick lesabre ran out of gas

Electric fuel pumps are known for burning out if you run them out of gas, pull the fuel line at the trottle-body, have someone turn the key on and see if you get fuel-flow, you may also check the fuel pump fuse and relay to make sure they are good.

SOURCE: I have a 2000 buick lesabre. The fix engine soon

It NEVER was the camshaft sensor! Unless, you've removed the engine lately, which I doubt.
RUN to Advance Auto Parts and buy a can of "SeaFoam" and add to your gas tank per instructions...drive at least 100 miles and the problem should go away...IF it doesn't you'll have to replace the O2 sensors in the exhaust system...Any good mechanic should be able to do this for much less $$ than the dealership DO NOT go to the dealer for repairs!
Good Luck

My 2000 Buick Lesabre died while driving and now it will crank but won't start?

1st check to see if the serpentine belt broke for the timing belt 2nd check the fuel pump by turning key a seeing if the pump makes a sound if it does that's good and 3rd if it starts a few hours and dies after a trip then your catalytic converter is clogged so put some lacquer thinner in your gas tank and fill it up and drive it around for a hour to clean out the catalytic converter

My 2000 LeSabre keeps blowing fuel pump fuse when i start car

From what you have described it would be a short in the fuse pump circuit. You sould start checking your ground wires.

MY 96 SUBURBAN 2500 7.4L SUDDENLY DIED WHILE DRIVING. AFTER I COASTED TO A STOP I TRIED TO RESTARTING BUT NO LUCK. HAVING HAD THE FUEL PUMP REPLACED BEFORE I KNEW TO LISTEN FOR THAT SOUND OF THE PUMP...

The key is to find out what is causing the ECM fuse to always blow. With just the key on try and see if any codes are set in the ECM. If not, try a new ECM. If the fuse still blows, then disconnect all accessible electrical for everything, including radios, accessories, relay boxes, etc. except the ECM. If the fuse still blows, then probably something wrong with the wiring to the ECM. If it doesn't blow then start hooking up things one at a time until it blows again. Once it blows, that is your problem.

My 2000 Buick lesabre cuts off while driving

Your fuel pump might be going bad. The reason why it cuts off is the fuel pump is pumping just enough to run it for a x amount of time that's why it shuts off but while it's off the pump is pumping fuel into the lines. If it's not the fuel pump then it might be your injectors.

Location of the fuel shut off on a 1992 buick lesabre

There is no fuel pump cut off switch on the LeSabre. Check the fuse and relay on the passenger side behind the glove box. There should be 4 black relays. The fuse pump is below this and the pump fuse is number 6. The other thing to keep in mind is the Pass lock system may not be recognizing the ignition key and has disabled the fuel pump from the ECM. Lets start with the fuse and relay first and we'll work on the Pass lock relearn process which takes about 30 min to do. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.

Car will not start

For clarification:
When you turn the key to start, the engine will not roll over?
When you turn the key to the run position, do you here the fuel pump prime, a humming noise from the gas tank?
Have you replaced any other electronic components, key cylinder, body control module?
Let me know.
