I think most part stores can do this and for free . After you find out what code is stored , looking up that code in service repair information for diagnostic trouble shooting chart would be next step . There are a few codes too.

Cause
An anomaly has been identified with the software in the Liftgate Module (RKE functions). The Liftgate Module software is affected when the temperature is approximately 40°C (104°F).
Correction
Using normal SPS reprogramming procedures, reprogram the LGM Liftgate module. The information was released on TIS version 2.75 or newer broadcast in March 2003.
There is a fuse block under the rear seat on the drivers side. Fuse # 3 and # ^ are the ones you will check for the Lift Gate.
Often the problem can be in the harness going to the module.
Sometimes the module needs replaced and then reprogrammed.
The fuses for the auxilliary power outlets are located in the rear fuse panel located under the left second row seat.
The fuse for the console and two front outlets is fuse #46 (20 Amp) and is marked "AUX PWR 1"
The fuse for the rear power outlet is fuse #15 (20 Amp) and is marked "AUX PWR 2"
