I have a 1999 dodge ram sport 318 maganim code shows p0340 $D1 generic camshaft position sensor A circuit bank 1 or single sensor Engine stalls no buss instrument panel shouts down Can anyone help?

DTC P0340 Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor Circuit . has single sensor . This is circuit problem , testing the electrical circuit's for the sensor before replacing the sensor should be done . Do you know how to test sensor circuit's ?
