Check the distributor position when the engine is turned to TDC , the rotor should be facing close to no. 1 spark plug lead.Try spray some quick start spray in the inlet and see if it takes , if so then your fuel return is dumping too much fuel.The older pressure regulators were adjustable by a small screw next to the diaphragm.

I have not seen these yet but a DII or Freelander there should be a push tab on the back side of the light in the bumper. I suggest crawling underneath and looking at the underside where they mount and see if there is a push tab on one side of the light that you would push inward (toward the light) to release that side of the light. If not, look for a screw or nut. Hope this helps.
