How to fold down back seats in a ford courier 2000 model pls

If equipped there are buttons on the top of the back of the seat is your seat back split into to pieces then you have a fold down seat if not and it's a 1 piece bench you don't

There's a pull strap release by the seat belt receivers. You give it a good tug and the seat folds up toward the floor space... then you can fold the seat back down flat !! Hope This Helps!!

Some have buttons some have levers, push / pull button/ lever & push seat back forward to fold

Dont the back seats fold down in this model, if you can somehow get into passenger compartment fold down seat or just remove the bottom seat by lifting each side up about a foot from the end with your hand or a wide prying tool or some models may have a screw holding the base seat down on each side, once bottome is removed then you can find the screws on each side holding the back part to the panel. remove them and lift back up.. should have access holes to reach into trunk, good luck..

The 04-08 MY changed to a bottom of the seat folds up, where the 03 and older where the seat back folded down.

Do you need to remove the seat back ?

Okay so im just going to start from the seat being upright in a normal riding position.

1. You need to fold the head rests first. Pull the black tab under both headrests. They should spring into a folded position.

2. pull the side seat lever (on the door side of the seat). This will fold the top/back support down to an angle.

3. There is one more lever on the backside of this seat. Its in plain sight on the angled portion of your seat. Lift the big plastic lever.

4. While keeping the handle lifted, grasp the back of the seat and pull it torwards the front of the car. The seat should come unlocked and roll forward and down more towards the floor. If you have a bunch of junk on the floor, it obviously wont work. clear the path and the seat will fold completely flat.

Also, your drivers seat and front passenger seat cannot be all the way back, they need to come forward some in order for the second row seats' head rests to clear and fold flat.

crew cab,use a 50 torx in front bolts ,15mm on a ratchet on back bolts slide seat belt buckles throu seat crack ,fold rear of seat down ,lay seat with hinge toward floor slide out door (note watch brackets ,will scratch door pannals)

The backs don't fold down. The seats only fold up.
