Viper remote starter won't start the car even with a New key fob battery, it will crank for about one second then nothing. The car starts with the key and the door and trunk locks work with remote fob

Every thing works with the remote starter key fob remote except the car only cranks for about a second when using the remote starter and then nothing happens. The lights do come on but then goes off.

SOURCE: key fob remote start issues

You need to get one that works on the same wide range frequency as the reciever in the car, and then it's a simple matter of opening both the new and old fobs, and matching the fine frequency settings by putting the little switches inside where they should be according to the old fob's switches. If there are no switches in the old fob, it's preset and there's not much you can do about it.

If the problem occurs after the car has been driven long enough to reach normal operating temperature, the problem is the starter. If the 'no crank' occurs cold, retest the battery.

SOURCE: 2004 F-250, 5.4l gas. Won't start or even crank.

are you referring to the starter relay on the firewall? the voltage should drop to 0 when measuring across the signal path because the connection is made, essentially making it a piece of wire and there is no difference in potential between the two points. is there 12v to the starter motor? is the starter solenoid (located on the starter) receiving 12v? check fuses and fusible links. disconnect hot leads from the starter. remove the starter, and supply 12v directly to the motor. does the pinon gear extend and spin? starter.

Ignition relay or fuse could be the problem. When you turn the key to start do you hear a fuel pump kicking on and or do you have spark when you hot wire the starter (I know it's hard to check while trying to start it)? You can email me back and I might be able to pinpoint it more.

SOURCE: My 2004 F250 won't start. The battery is good, all gauges work etc... When you turn the key the starter won't even click

more then likely its a bad starter. or the cable to starter.

Cart starter won’t open doors. Used fop key to get in. Not a kick, click, no start what so w we seems to be something electronic between starter or ignition

What type of car are you having problems with?? Is it a remote starter fob you are using or a regular key fob? Do any of the instrument panels lights come on when you turn the key? If not, then you may have a bad battery or battery connection. If the come on and nothing happens when you turn the key to the start , then you have a problem with the current getting to the starter or the starter itself.

Camry 2002 Remote Starter Conflicts Car Starter

You need to call Viper and talk to their tech support. It sounds like the viper is actually disabling the starter. If you have all of your paperwork from the alarm system there should be a book that can help walk you through the reprogramming mode. Maybe your key fob is not synced to the alarm system. I have a clifford alarm which is still a viper. I have to press the star button 3 times in a row if I want my car to start remotely. hope this helps some.
