Would you like to try an explain this a little better ? When you stop the vehicle it goes into park on it's own , or you put into park ,then it gets stuck ? How can you take off if the vehicle is in park ? You would need to step on the brake pedal for the gear selector to move from park to any gear . Stuck in park , shift interlock system problem . Electric solenoid keeps it from coming out of park ,unless driver is pushing the brake pedal . Electric switch on brake pedal . Do the brake lights work ?

you have what is called a btsi, brake trans shift interlock that may be the problem, usually there is a little square cover on the console you can remove and use a screwdriver to depress the latching mechanism to shift the car out of park

remove cowling under hood to expose wiper motor linkage. You have to try it many times but the linkage may not be attached in the correct arc position. Trial by error.
