Question about 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer
Have a new battery, change ignition electric switch because of battery drain, now full charge battery, and when turn key to start everything works, but car will not start, it just clicks.

SOURCE: Starter fails to start.
I'm having the same problem. The dealership keeps telling me it's the starter. I've replaced starter and still have the same problem. I have had all the wiring and new key swith put in and still have the same problem. I guess were in the same boat!!!

Check and clean the battery terminals, just went through this exact same problem myself this week! Google "clean battery terminals" if you have never done this before, pretty easy.

SOURCE: my car won't turn over
does this car have a safety device that won't let you start the engine unless the clutch is pushed in???
if so that little switch on the clutch pedal could be faulty.

it sound to me like the modual has fried it self in the distributor if it has you will have no spark or fuel pulse . have you checked the ignition fuses
