Starter is good, it is getting fuel, all fuses are good, Had it put on the computer and came back with the crank sensor so we changed that and still won't start
Does the crank sensor check good now?
check fuel rail pressure especially the fuel rail regulator. They commonly go out.
Based on your testimonial comment. I know how intimidating the ECM's can be. Another tool everyone should have is a ODB diagnostic system. These are now easy. Get a Kiwi3 - this plugs into the ODB connector under the steering wheel and converts all the signals to bluetooth. The get a program for cell, laptop, tablet etc to read all the information in the computer. The software that I use is ODBTech - pro version. This might help you mechanic husband learn and understand more about what's happening in the virtual ream.
Testimonial: "Don't now if it checks good it will have to go back to the mechanics for their computer. We did disconnect the battery to reset but as it won't start we don't get a check engine light. I will look up the fuel Rail pressure.regulater to show my husband how to check that thank you. This is my mom's truck and my husband can replace a motor but when it is computer issues we are lost"

i had a similar problem and called the dealer during lunch hour. i talked to a mechanic, the distributor in these vehicles is plastic, and is prone to cracking.not just the cap but the body also, I have been taking the cap off and wiping the moisture out of the cap. or replacing the cap but the problem is I need a new distributor. just a cheep way to get rolling is cleaning the inside of the cap, especially when it is very damp or the outside temp changes alot during the day. good luck.

this happened to me on my 1999 dodge ram and it ended up being the fuel pump
SOURCE: car wont start. replaced fuel
Definitely not a knock sensor.
Just to clarify, you spray starting fluid in the intake and it will start and run for a short time and then stall?

You probably have a bad ignition coil. Which engine is in this truck? 3.7, 4.7, 5.7 or hemi
