I just had the same prob. Your air blend door actuator has probably gone bad. Take off the glove box and look 4 a little black plastic box(oddly shaped)with white plastic arms connected to it. Turn the knob from heat to cold. If those arms dont move thats your problem. Or when u turn the knob, u hear a clickig noise inside the dash, thats also the air door actuator.

air blend door actuator(motor). It's the motor that opens and closes the door 4 the cold and hot air. Check behind the glove box to see if it is working. If u tyrn the temp control knob and it doesn't move, thats your prob.

i just replaced the actuator, before screwing it on i connected the harness to see if it works,i did,i screwed it in place now it wont move when i turn the knob from hot to cold or vise versa.what could be the problem?

This could be from many reasons,, the simplest is to have leak from the expansion valve , low gas ,, == hot air
could be also from the condenser <leak>
could be from dryer <leaks>
The worst is to have deffective compressor ,,, very expensive repair

You could be just low on freon. The cost differs to where you go. Unfortunately Air conditioner systems are complicated and require trained professionals. If it is as simple as just adding a can of freon then it is not very exspensive and you can do it yourself for around $15.00 for the hose and a can of freon but that is only if your compressor is operational. If you have someone stand outside and watch your AC compressor while you cycle the switch off and on he or she should be able to hear the clutch engauge. If it engauges then you are probably just low and can get away with adding a little at a time until you get cold air our of your vents. The temperature out your vets should be in the range of around 20 to 30 degrees below ambient temperature. If it still does not work the you need to take it to a trained professional. Did you check your fuses as well?

I have a 98 Buick Lesabre Limited. It blows Cool air, but not Cold. And also, I can't seem to make it blow out of the Center Dash Vents.

Cornelius, vent problem could be a pinched or loose vacuum line on controller, faulty AC vacuum motor, faulty AC programmer, etc. needs to be checked out by a good Tech, diagnosed and estimate on repair.
As far as vehicle only blowing cool air, issue could be blend door issue, plugged AC condenser core dirt/debris, low AC refrigerant, plugged AC lines internal, failing compressor, etc., again should be checked out, diagnosed and estimate for repair by a good Tech.
Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

I have a 2007 tahoe , this morning the ac was working fine and blowing cold air ,now that I turn on the ac it only blows hot air ...what can I do to get it fix ?

You could check to see if the compressor is running.. Thats the way things break.. they just stop working.. Take the car to an A/C shop and get an estimate to fix it.. Play dumb and let them tell you what is wrong. They will tell you what is wrong.. Might try 2 or more shops and see if they all tell you the same thing.. Might be as simple as the switch.. of maybe a Compressor or a compressor clutch.. If the compressor needs to be replace.. there is the compressor, dryer, expansion valve, flushing the system and replacing the R134. NOT CHEAP..

I have a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 that will blow cold and hot air for only a few minutes. After that is only ambient air temps. It is a 5.7 ltr, automatic with only one set of climate controls. The heater core...

you say it will blow cold and hot air for only a few minutes. You don't say but I assume you mean will blow cold a few min. when turned on AC max , blow hot only a few min. when turned to heater hot. Assuming thats the situation and you say AC charged and shows good on the low side -you should charge the AC to a full charge on the low side will cause problems with the AC air compressor kicking on and off. I suggest while the engine is running and turned to AC cold max watch the AC air compressor clutch to see if it does indeed kick on and off if so charge completely. As far as the heater make certain you coolant is all the way to the top and the best way to do this is when engine is completely cold remove radiator cap and fill completely and completely close cap then fill overflow container just to the cold level. That should fix your problem.

Freeon is good dont know what else it could be. when its cold out the ac works fine but when its hot it doesn't blow cold? WTF

The ac will blow sold when its cold outside. It is just the air from the outside. You need to check to see if the ac clutch is turning when the ac is switch own.You may have a bad ac compressor

AC blows cold or hot

if it is the same thing that is wrong with my frontier. check to see if the compressor is turning on when you use the ac. if not you might have a bad connection that is intermittantly preventing the compressor from getting the signal to turn on. get a service manual and a voltmeter and you can fix.

Ac blows hot air ac compressor is ice cold but the vents blow hot air when enige is hot. bloows cold air when engine is cold

check your air diverter doors, sounds like the door for heat is open, when a/c is selected the doors should move and close the heater off. the heater will over power the a/c. the door controller is located on the environmental station under the dash neat to the floor. the control is electronic and probably not functioning

Ac blowing hot air

This sounds like the mode selector is stuck on heat. Under the dash is the location of the hvac plenum and you need to check the cables and levers that are on it to see if they move when heat and cold are changed as well as the lever for where the air is directed.
