SOURCE: 2000 ford windstar gas smell on the inside only no

Check and see if you have any gas on the ground after you park your car. Check around the gas tank and gas cap. It's possible that the fuel pump (which is in the gas tank) has hoses that may be leaking. If this is a slight leak, it might only manifest itself via a gas odor into the trunk or passenger compartment. It might be a good idea to put the car on a hoist and follow the fuel lines from the engine to the fuel tank. There should a one line that takes the fuel from the fuel tank to the engine and another that brings back the excess. There should also be another line coming out of the fuel tank that is for venting. Unfortunately, the fuel pump and hose connections are not easily accessible and require either removing the gas tank or cutting a hole in the trunk to access it. You should definitely take care of this soon as leaks don't get better, only worse and it is a potential fire hazard. Good luck!

Why am I smelling gasoline from the rear of my 2001 chevy venture after replacing the gas filter ? Without any visible leaks

Even though you can't find a leak, that doesn't mean there isn't one around the filter when the system is pressurized.
However, there is an EVAP system vent valve at the back that may be stuck open, or you may have dislodged a hose on the EVAP canister, or the canister may have a leak. While the vehicle is running, I recommend you recheck the entire gas supply and return lines, and check the whole EVAP system.

How do i clean throttle plates on 2004 gmc envoy?

Throttle body has nothing to do with the gasoline, it only regulates incoming air. In order to find the gas leak you will need to remove the air resonator assembly that goes from the air filter to the throttle body. Then you can get a look at the fuel rail and injector hook-ups.

I have a 2005 chevy malibu maxx v6. car runs great, no hesitation or stalling, however a intensly strong odor of gasoline suddenly began about 3 wks ago, and is gettin stronger by the day! it Can be...

No service engine light? A loose gas cap will set a light.
You may want to inspect your fuel filler neck and anything close. For a long while its not uncommon for a person to report the fuel odor issue and have it be where some low life cut a filler neck or puntured a tank to steal fuel. But if that were the case there would usually be a service engine or gas cap light as the systems now days monitor pressures so they can detect leaks in the Evap system.

When you mention a smell though under the hood, do you think the smell could be exhaust? I have seen those manifolds crack. or maybe just a leak from a gasket or exhaust donut.

Poor starting/smell gasoline

if it smell like gasoline it mean that the fuel isnt getting burned at its 100%. If you havent get a tune up done recentely. Getting one done now wouldn't be a bad idea.
Any check engine light on?...If so you need to pull the codes out and see what codes the ECU has saved.

Gas odor when at stops sign or parking in garage

I recently had the same problem. It turned out that the fuel regulator on the engine at the left side just above the intake manifold had an intermitent leak. The gas leaking was not always visible so I had the regulator changed and that solved the problem.
