I was driving along,the car suddenly shut off..5spd..i pulled over&stopped tried starting it..it would crank,but not start..towed to autoparts store..diagnosis gave two codes for two diff sensors...cant remember for sure which sensors they were,couldnt find the receipt & the store didnt have a record of the purchase...even though i thought the parts carried a warranty that stayed in the autopart stores system for years...its been about 2 1/2 to 3yrs..the exact same thing happened...help please..i neeed that car

It's possible that the sensor needs to be rotated. The sensor is keyed so it can only be installed in one position. The camshafts spin once for every two revolutions of the crank, so it's possible that the sensor is 360 degrees out of phase (I've had this happen on timing belt jobs on other cars - with the sensor out of phase, the car would start, and then trail off and die within a few seconds). What you can try is to carefully remove the sensor, turn it over to see the part that mates to the cam, rotate it one full revolution, and then put it back on. Try that out and see if it helps. If it does the trick, great. If not, post back up and we can try to go from there.

no it is not difficult but you can try autozone.com to see if they have your car listed for diagrams pictures and step by step instructions if your car is not listed then try your local library they have all the car manuals and even copy them for you

In the kit there are two sensor that look identical. The one for the crankshaft has a white paint mark on it near the bolt hole. Make sure that it is in the right location.
