Since it would take many pages of instructions here on this venue, we should recommend you go to a car parts store or a public library and get an instruction manual to do the job.
(This task could be a coupe of hundred steps.)
The manuals often are published by :" Motor's", or "Chilton's" , or "Haynes".
There are several others.
God bless your efforts.

Hello, Cyndi -

If you reside in the USA, your local public library system probably subscribes to databases of automobile repair manuals. Your taxpayer dollars at work!

First, you will need a valid library borrower card to be able to sign into your library account and access the right car repair manual for your vehicle and print the pages you need. If you need help in doing that, telephone the library and ask a reference / information librarian to give you instructions on how to do it over the phone.

If you do not hold a valid library borrower card, you will need to go to your local public library and apply for one. You will probably need valid photo ID, like your driver's license plus other proof of your residential address, such as an electric bill, or TV service (cable or satellite) bill. While you are at the library, ask a reference / information librarian to "walk" you through how to access the auto repair manual database and how to find what you need.

If you do not know where your local public library is located or do not know the phone number, you can find that information by using your favorite search engine and entering the following search phrase, using quotation marks as shown:
"City Name, State" "public library"
Example: "Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin" "public library"

One of the first results will probably the link to the library home page from which you can find the library address, phone number, and hours of service.

Best wishes.

SOURCE: removal of heater core 1992 buick skylark

You locate the heater core by following the heater hoses in the engine compartment. These hoses need to be disconnected. Then, working inside the passenger compartment, take off all of the control panel. You'll see screws underneath if you lie on your back. The only trick is to pop out the vent louvers -- just pop them out with a screw driver. There are screws behind them. Take out the glove box. Take off the heater outlet duct and the heater core cover. Pull the heater core straight back to avoid breaking the drain tube. Remove some clamps and that's it.

Drain the coolant first. Use an 18 mm box wrench on the serpentine belt tensioner to relieve tension and take off the belt. (On some models, you might need to remove a motor mount or loosen and push aside the power steering pump.) Now you are ready to remove all the bolts. Remove the pump. Scrape away all remnants of the old gasket. If some of the bolts are corroded, you had better replace them or they might break next time you change the pump. Apply gasket sealer to the new gasket. I always apply some gasket sealer near the head on the bolts to protect them from water, but I don't know if it does any good. Screw it all back on; there are some mating posts so you get it aligned right. Turn every bolt a little at a time in turn or you will make one side of the gasket thinner than the other. Rifill the radiator with new coolant. You should be good to go. But check for leaks.

SOURCE: how do i replace a water pump on a 1992 buick

GM Bonneville/Eighty Eight/LeSabre 1986-1999 Water Pump - REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

CAUTION When draining the coolant, keep in mind that cats and dogs are attracted by ethylene glycol antifreeze, and are quite likely to drink any that is left in an uncovered container or in puddles on the ground. This will prove fatal in sufficient quantity. Always drain the coolant into a sealable container. Coolant should be reused unless it is contaminated or several years old.
1987-95 Vehicles
EXCEPT 1995 VIN 1 ENGINE

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Drain cooling system into a suitable container.
  3. Remove the serpentine drive belt, as outlined in of this repair guide.
On some engines, removing the alternator provides better clearance for removing the water pump. For alternator removal and installation procedures, please refer toin this repair guide.

  1. Unfasten the water pump pulley bolts, (long bolt removed through access hole provided in the body side rail), then remove the pulley.
  1. Disconnect the radiator and heater hoses from water pump.
  1. For 1992-95 vehicles, remove the torque axis mount, as follows:
    1. Use a suitable engine support fixture and lifting bracket to raise the engine slightly to take the weight off of the engine mounts.
    2. Remove the through-bolt from the torque axis (front) engine mount.
    3. Lift the engine with the support fixture until the power steering reservoir touches the strut tower cross brace.
    4. Loosen the bottom two bolts on the torque axis (front) engine mount.
    5. Remove the A/C line clip and top two bolts on the torque axis engine mount, then remove the mount.
    6. Remove the 2 bolts and nut attaching the engine torque axis mount bracket assembly to the front of the engine.

On some engines, when you remove the 13mm bolts, coolant will flow from the bolt holes, so make sure to position a drain pan under the pump before unfastening the bolts.
  1. Remove the water pump attaching bolts, then remove the water pump from the vehicle. Remove and discard the gasket. Thoroughly clean the gasket mating surfaces.
To install:
  1. Apply a suitable sealant to the bolt threads.
  1. Position a new gasket, then install the water pump to the engine and tighten the retaining bolts, as follows:
  1. For 1987-94 vehicles, tighten the long bolts to 29 ft. lbs. (17 Nm) and the short bolts to 97 inch lbs. (11 Nm).
  2. For 1995 vehicles, tighten the water pump-to-block bolts to 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm) and the water pump-to-front cover bolts to 11 ft. lbs. (15 Nm), plus an additional 80° rotation.

  1. For 1992-95 vehicles, install the torque axis mount, as follows:
    1. Attach the torque axis engine mount bracket assembly to the front of the engine using the 2 bolts and nut.
    2. Replace the 2 upper bolts previously removed from the torque axis engine mount, and attach the mount and plastic clip for the A/C lines.
    3. Tighten the 2 lower bolts that were previously loosened on the torque axis engine mount.
    4. Adjust the engine height to align the torque mount with the torque axis mount bracket.
    5. Insert the through-bolt, attach the retaining nut and tighten to the specifications shown in the accompanying figure. Remove the engine support and lifting fixture.
  2. Install the water pump pulley and secure with the retaining bolts.
  3. Connect the radiator and heater hoses to the water pump.
  4. Install the serpentine drive belt.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
  6. Fill cooling system and check for leaks. Start the engine and allow to come to normal operating temperature. Check for leaks and top-off the coolant.
