SOURCE: 2003 Lincoln Navigator stumbles/bucking under mild acceleration

I have a 2003 Nav with the exact same problem. I've found it diminishes when taken out of overdrive. Also it's intermittent but more towards bucking. Sorry to post this under solutions.

SOURCE: My theft light on my 1998 Lincoln Navigator is on

Deactivating/activating the autolock feature...
Before following the procedure, make sure that the ignition is OFF and all vehicle doors and the liftgate window are closed.
You must complete steps 1-5 within 30 seconds or the procedure will have to be repeated. If the procedure needs to be repeated, you must wait 30 seconds.
1. Turn the ignition key to ON.
2. Press the power door unlock control three times.
3. Turn the ignition key from ON to OFF.
4. Press the power door unlock control three times.
5. Turn the ignition back to ON. The horn will chirp.
6. Press the unlock control, then press the lock control. The horn will
chirp once if autolock was deactivated or twice (one short and one long
chirp) if autolock was activated.
7. Turn the ignition to OFF. The horn will chirp once to confirm the
procedure is complete.

Also, if your vehicle is equipped with a coded-key anti-theft system. Only the correct key will be able to start your vehicle. If your keys are lost or stolen, you must take your vehicle to a Ford/Lincoln-Mercury dealership for re-programming.
Programming additional keys If you need additional keys electronically coded for your vehicle, spares can be purchased (a maximum of 16 keys can be programmed). To program a new key, perform the following procedure:
1. With the coded key in the ignition, turn the ignition from ON to OFF.
2. Within 15 seconds of turning ignition off, insert the new coded key
into the ignition and turn it from OFF to ON or START. If successful, the
THEFT indicator light will illuminate for two seconds. Repeat procedure
for all new keys.
If key coding fails, the THEFT indicator light will flash.
Coding failure can be caused by any of the following:
² The new key was not inserted into the ignition within 15 seconds.
² 16 keys have already been programmed.
² The new key does not have an electronic code.

Other details can find in the 1998-Lincoln-Navigator-Owners-Manual

Good luck (remember comment and rated this).

2000 Lincoln navigator will not start

Presumably you disconnected the battery when you did the fuel pump and PCM? It also looks like the PCM has to be programmed with the VIN Number.

To reset the 2000 lincoln navigator anti-theft system press and hold any button on your remote within 20 seconds of the eighth turn. Hold the button for as long as 20 seconds until the locks automatically click and release. Remove the key from the ignition to stop the reset cycle.

2002 Lincoln navigator won't start the anti theft light just keeps blinking what can I do

Disconnect the battery cable and leave disconnected for 5 to 10 minutes. Reconnect cable and see if this resets the security system. If light is not flashing, then it should have reset. If when trying to start and the theft light comes on again, have your key checked to see if it has lost its code. If you have a second key, try using it. If this does not work, you may have to have the system flashed at the dealership.

I have 1999 Lincoln Navigator with 170,000 miles on it. It has stalled on me 2 times in the last 3 weeks. It will always act up when the engine is in a slight strain like going up small to moderate...

I bought my 2003 Navigator new in June 2003. It was built in May 2003. The instrument cluster ha to be replaced twice (under warranty). Later, the dealership determined the original and the replacement clusters were from a batch of clusters (left over) from the 2002 production run.

Ford was great back in the day. I have owned Ford products since 1986. When my Nav with 130,876 documented miles does start to "give up the ghost" I will for the first time be looking at Asian vehicles - Toyota, Hyundai or Genesis.

The 2003 Lincoln Navigator had a LOT of complaints in Consumer Buying Guide back in 2003 regarding the electrical systems. The Air Ride is the most prevalent complaint.

How do you reset warning battery & charging system light on 2003 navigator after i have changed the alternator.

This light is not like a service light, you still have a problem, and it appears that the alternator was not the issue. I reccomend getting it diagnosed, but do look for grounding issues, and clean battery terminals.

Cannot turn on the radio on my 2003 Lincoln Navigator. Can it be a fuse blowout

ABSOLUTELY! If that is not the problem, you may have tripped the anti-theft device. This will require the serial number from the radio and a phonecall or trip to the dealer!
