A SOLUTION!!!!!! THIS WORKED FOR US TODAY! Try turning the key and moving the shift from park to drive and back. Then try starting it again! It should start. We were ready to call a tow truck before trying this. It worked. Saved time and money!

From my previous experience with anti-theft ignition switches, the most common way is to allow the key to stay in the RUN position for 10-15 minutes. The light should stop blinking. Sometimes you have to turn the key to the OFF position, wait 15 seconds then try to crank the car.

If this does not work, pull your wires from your battery. Probably wouldn't hurt to clean the points while you wait the 15 minutes for the system to reset itself. A good connection could prevent this from happening when you really Do need your vehicle to crank.

According to "Hollander", the interchange people, the only compatible transmission is the Mazda Tribute.

Check safety shut off switch for fuel

do you know if which one they replace. there is 4 on your ford escape

If the code is P0136 then the code is 02 sensor (bank 1 sensor2) malfunction. Rear sensor.
Inspect wiring, inspect connection and pins, and if that stuff checks out then you may need a 02 sensor.

check the vaccum hses on the back side of the tire if there ok then with the engine running the selector in 4x4 pull the hose off if you hear or feel vaccum on the hose the your iwe is most likely bad on a 07 they cost about 25.00
